Teenagers and their secrets

Summary:

Belle and Beast have been acting strangely lately, and Angel decides to sort it all out. However, he has no idea what to do while Hiroka is trying hard to explain it to him.

Notes:

I'm back!!!

So my exams are over, and now I have to wait for their results. You may not expect chapters in the near future, but I assure you that I will finish them closer to the beginning of July.

In the meantime, here is a small part that was not included in the main script of the novel, because it was too much out of the narrative. But I wanted to write this part SO MUCH that I decided to write it as a separate story of my novella.

And, perhaps, if you like this format, then this story will not be the last.
;)

Chapter Text

When Belle and Beast started spending more time together than with the rest of the castle's inhabitants, no one even worried about it. In the end, it is quite natural when two adult teenagers (in our case, a famous singer and a gloomy dragon), being in a large and cut off from the whole world of "U" castle, begin to communicate a lot.

But there were exceptions. Like, for example, Hiroka, whose eyes began to sparkle with mischief whenever she noticed how close beauty and dragon were to each other.

"Yes, I'm telling you, they're hiding something!" she whined

Angel was confused by her words for the umpteenth time, but she continued to cling to her resolve.

"You mean Beast and Belle? Nah, it can't be."  Kamishin replied, shaking his head in disbelief. "Beast is too busy with his crusade to think about dating."

"Who said anything about 'dating'?" Pixie grinned. "It can be a simple 'stress relief'. Fighting an entire Justice legion can be quite a burdensome task, even for our dragon.

St. Bernard's eyes widened, though Tomo had no idea why.

"No, this can't be!" Kamishin exclaimed confidently. "Beast would rather invite her to sparring than to dinner or something like that."

"Oh, believe me, they will have sparring, but not quite the usual one…"

Before Kamishin can answer, the little angel interrupts him.

"Does my brother want to invite Belle to a sparring match?"

St. Bernard and pixie froze, looked into each other's eyes and answered synchronously:

"No!"

"Yes!"

After that, the two began a staring contest of epic proportions.

Tomo, who was used to Hiroki's antics by this time, did not pay attention to her answer.

"In that case, what are you guys talking about?" The angel tilted his head to the side.

"Uh…"

"Yes, what are you talking about?"

If Hiroka wasn't used to such sudden appearances, she would definitely jump out of her skin from Beast's harsh tone. But Shinjiro was much less lucky.

"N-n-nothing!" almost shrieking, he replied.

The young dragon grunted and measured them with his gaze, mulling over his question. But in the end, considering that the information he wants to get is not worth all the effort, he decided not to ask them further.

"In any case, don't create any problems while you're in my castle, or I'll throw you out." And with that, he turns around and joins Belle in the garden.

As soon as the dragon is out of earshot, Hiroka begins to whisper triumphantly.

"Have you seen it?! Have you?! They're obviously hiding something from us!"

"What are you talking about?" angel asks.

"Look at them!" pixie continues. "They are now discussing what we are saying about them."

The dragon was actually talking to Belle and at the same time looking back at them, clearly discussing what had just happened.

"Come on, Hiro-chan. It could be anything." St. Bernard denies. "Beast is probably just complaining to Belle that you're acting even weirder than usual."

"I am well acquainted with such things, Kamishin, believe me!"

"Can someone please explain to me what's going on?!" Tomo exclaimed, finally tired of being ignored.

Pixie sighs heavily before turning to the dragon's younger brother.

"Belle and Beast..." she says slowly, "...are in a relationship!"

The little angel cocked his head to the side in confusion.

"In a relationship?"

"Yes! You know, like, sitting together under the starry sky or lighting a bunch of candles in the bedroom, after which…"

"Hiroka, he's still a child!" The canoe lover shouted.

"Exactly! And what could be better than to tell him all about the birds and the bees now?" she teases. "In the end, he'll find out sooner or later anyway."

"It's out of the question!" to emphasize his intentions, Kamishin takes a step closer to the angel, as if preparing to grab him and run away at any moment.

"But, guys, I already know what birds and bees are." Tomo intervenes.

"Indeed, Kamishin. What other harm can I do?" she flies closer to the angel. "Listen to me carefully, kid, today is the day when you will become a man!"

St. Bernard, without wasting time, quickly grabs the little creature.

Hiroka sighs, admitting defeat.

"Okay, okay, don't get that angry. I will keep the boy's innocence… For now."

Despite his indecision, Kamishin still lets Tomo out of his paws.

"What does all this mean?" he asks, turning angrily to the St. Bernard.

"Well, I…"

Hiroka giggles.

"Never mind, Tomo. Besides, I have a special mission just for you!"

Angel's button eyes narrowed.

"What kind of mission?"

"I'm glad you asked, my little friend."

Pixie excitedly turns to the angel.

"This is a mission of the strictest secrecy." she whispers, covering the movement of her lips with her hand from the gaze of Beast and Belle. "I need someone to keep an eye on our couple, and you, of all people, are the best person for this, since Beast and Belle trust you"

"So you want me to spy on them?" Angel's tone was soft, but disappointed.

"Spying is too strong a word for our mission." she wrinkles her face in exaggerated disgust. "Think of it more as a little... research."

"Research". Kamishin snorted.

"Yes, research!" She glares at the St. Bernard. "Don't you want to know more about the dragon?"

"Well, yeah…"

"And don't you wonder what he's doing alone with Belle?"

"But what are they doing?! I don't know what you're talking about!"

"Exactly!" Hiroka exclaimed, looking back at the angel, "That's what you have to find out."

In the end, Tomo was almost forced to give in.

Kamishin resisted with all his might, but Hiroka was relentless. And when pixie threatened him with giving angel "The Talk" (whatever that meant), even he gave in and started begging Tomo to agree.

So now he's a spy. Maybe not the best one, but still a spy.
