   “Harry”, he breathed it out like a prayer, hands falling away, dropping to the carpet, “Harry.”

   The second stretched between them, a filament of spun glass in the stillness, fragile and delicate. Harry took a hesitant step towards Draco, then another. Draco’s trembling hand crept out across the rug, skimming the fibres as it yearned towards Harry. It shook as he raised it upwards, “Please”, he breathed again and suddenly Harry is crashing to his knees in front of Draco snatching up his offered hand, pulling him into his chest, holding him close.
