There are very few things that Edelgard regrets in this life. She doesn’t regret declaring war against the Church of Serios and the control they exert through a false narrative of history to keep their puppets among the foolish, weak-minded nobility and Crest-infused bloodlines in power.
What she regrets is the perceived loss of her teacher; something in her blood sings a song that Byleth isn’t dead, no matter what the other students, her friends, of the Black Eagles House seem to so strongly believe. A former mercenary, who believed in her ideals, even encouraged Edelgard to follow her beliefs whenever they managed to have their private, secret discussions that only Hubert knew happened.
Once she finds her dearest friend again, Edelgard plans on sharing her innermost feelings with Byleth.

Her teacher, beautiful Byleth, was back, and once everyone had seen her, they snuck away to speak about mutual feelings in the old bell tower of the school. She delighted in kissing those soft, gentle lips under the light of the stars and moonlight shining down around an ethereal Byleth.
