"Who are you? Why are you doing this?"
"I am the sustainer of Heavenly Principles, my motives are none of your concern."

"Wait, don't go! Give my brother back!"

Lumine woke with a start, her mind reeling from the night terrors that kept her up. She swung her legs off her bed and threw her covers aside. She glanced at the time on her phone, still plenty of time to get ready.
Bounding down the stairs in a newly changed outfit, a form fitting black shirt and grey leggings, she headed directly to the kitchen.
"Good morning, what's for breakfast?" She asked, glancing up at the man who was removing a pair of oven mitts.
"Good morning to you too," Dainsleif said, looking at her skeptically. "I heard a bit of ruckus last night. Did you have another nightmare?"
Lumine sighed, one hand coming up to twirl a few strands of hair that framed her face.
"I guess. It was about that night...when he was taken," She muttered quietly, avoiding Dainsleif's eyes and deciding to observe the rug at her feet instead.
After a short pause, she looked up and exclaimed,
"B-But I'm fine! Really! And I'm prepared to kick butt at the entrance exam today!"
"...Alright" He finally said, removing his apron and pointing at a tray of muffins.
"These are for you. Good luck today. I'm sure they would all be proud of you, especially him," With a finally pat on the shoulder and soft smile, Dainsleif left the room, grabbing his car keys on the way out. "I'll be in the car. I have to leave for school soon so please hurry."
Lumine smirked, "Yeah yeah, I got it Dad". She grabbed the closest muffin to her and shoved her phone into her pants pocket, before running after the taller blonde.
Dainsleif was the closest thing she had to family, after the loss of her parents and disappearance of her brother. He was a family friend, only a few years older than Lumine, and in his last year of high school.
He wasn't technically supposed to be her guardian, his parents were, but they were constantly on long business trips and were mostly uninvolved in their life. They only had each other.
"Take care. You'll do fine. And I'd better not hear about you destroying any property, getting into fights, harrassing students-"
"I get it, I get it! And aren't you late to school?" Dain's eyes widened as he checked the time.
Lumine cackled as he quickly backed up his car and sped away, then turned to face the school.
It was a large turnout, tons of kids bounding into the large building. They were all her competition.
'Okay! The start of my journey begins now!'

A/N: Sorry if Lumine is a bit OOC, I'm writing her as having the personality that I've always envisioned in her character. Also, I gave the twins light manipulation because I wanted a quirk that mimics their original power as much as possible.
