Letter to Santa (Liham kay Santa)

Summary:

A very young Peter Parker is about to experience his first Christmas without his parents. So he writes a letter to Santa.

Notes:

This is my second time trying to practice Tagalog by writing fanfiction. This time, instead of a dialogue-only fic, it's just a letter. This was a lot harder to do, but I think it turned out alright. Also, I made the character really young so that the poor grammar/vocabulary seems appropriate.

As always, if you are fluent or you are also learning Tagalog, feel free to read and let me know about any mistakes I've made. It's all a part of the journey of learning!

Dear Santa,

Kumusta po? Ako ay mabuti.

Ako si Peter Parker.

Sabi ni Tita May na ikaw ay nagbibigay ng mga regalo para mabubuting bata at sabi ni Tito Ben ay nagsasabi magaling ako. Kaya dapat bigyan mo ako ng regalo, diba?

Wala ng nanay at tatay ko. Sabi ni Tito Ben hindi sila makakauwi. Nasa langit sila. Sabi ni Tita May hindi mo na sila maibabalik.

But….Nakuha ko na ang mga regalo sa Christmas nila. Ang regalo ni Nanay ay isang macaroni frame at Tatay ay isang tie-dye T-shirt. Ako mismo ang gumawa ng mga ito!

Gusto ko bibigay sila mama at papa. But, hindi kaya. Kaya mo ba? At pakisabi kanila na mahal ko sila.

Mahal din kita, Santa,
