Summary
Caleb's known all along that eventually their path would lead them to Rexxentrum; the more tied up they become in the games of the great and powerful of this continent, the more inevitable it becomes. Knowing it was coming hasn't made it any easier.
He doesn't know if he can do this.
[Basically, Caleb just has a panic attack for twelve hours and struggles to ask for the help he needs.]

“Those things all appear to be true," Caduceus gives Frumpkin a scratch between the ears. “But will you be comforted enough just experiencing being held through his eyes?”

Summary
It's been awhile since Caleb has had a large disassociative episode, and unsurprisingly, it's still not easy to deal with. The Mighty Nein have had experience bringing him back to the present, but there's still no cure all for a wounded mind.

Everyone looked to the wizard, concern graven in each face differently. Jester clearly felt guilt, surely thinking if only about some spell or another being available to her. Nott reached for her flask before remembering she'd given it to Jester for safekeeping while she worked on her alcoholism. Fjord had a dark look on his face as he took in their situation, ever pragmatic. Caduceus seemed calculating in a way that wasn't typical of him. Beau reflected he hadn't seen this as much as the rest of them. Caleb had been getting better.

Beau shudders and holds Caleb's hand, which he squeezes back tentatively. She can feel how it shakes in her grip. She does her best to steady him, despite the fact that she wants to shake apart herself and completely fall to pieces.
“I am going to hazard a guess here,” Caleb says softly, “that we may have been drugged.”
