It's his fault. Everyone is dead because of him. Alex, Brian, Amy... and Jay. They're all dead. Everything he's ever known is gone. His home, his instruments, and few friends he'd managed to gather over the years— they were all gone. But one man in particular haunts him. The man that, despite everything he'd managed to dig up and ruin Tim's progression with his mental health— he'd somehow managed to fall for. The silence is loud, only interrupted by the ghost of a voice he'd never hear again. Haunted by the memories— the visions of him laying there within his home, hand covering the bleeding gunshot wound within his lower abdomen. Guilt is eating at him... and when he isn't being haunted by visions and hallucinations of the man who he'd fallen for and then subsequently lost— he hears the droning last words of Alex Kralie buzzing in his ear. The only way to stop the spread of this sickness— of this disease... was to end his life.

Summary
As he speaks he moves one of his hands down from Jay's shoulder to wrap around his hip as if it's the most natural thing in the world. Ridiculous. This was the sort of faux pas that would make you the laughingstock of the Ton. But Tim didn’t know that. The man dealt with sick people and dead bodies all day, cocooned in a bubble of chopping and slicing and illness. In that moment Jay would have given anything to have traded places with him, to not feel as if Tim’s hand was a burning brand as much as it was a soft and gentle heat.
Tim teaches Jay how to dance. Jay has a realization.

Every light beyond the end of the hallway is shut off. The best attempt at lowering their electric bill they can muster with how many bedside lights they keep on. Brian flicks the switch closest to him, blinks to adjust to the brightness, and almost has a heart attack where he stands.
There, in the furthest corner of the kitchen, halfway crammed under the bar, is his missing roommate. Jay stares up at him intently from behind his knees, curled up tight in a ball. Brian clutches his chest in an attempt to dissipate the shock.
