Chapter Text
It was a BRILLIANT idea. How had she thought of it all by herself? Oh wait, she didn't. She had been looking at one of those divorce stories in the magazine she was reading for the 3rd time again. She told herself she would eventually get a new one, but she had spent all of her money on plants and gardening supplies. Besides, the money she made from TikTok wasn't the same as before. Ever since those new TikTokers got started, she had lost all of her fame and even the people who really hated her found new people to harass. No matter how many videos she posted, it wasn't THE. SAME. AS. LAST. YEAR. Sighing, she picked up her vape from where she'd left it in a box, swearing to never use it again. Only this time, she told herself she would stop next time (although she knew this wasn't true).
Inhaling the blue cotton candy flavor, she breathed out a big cloud of smoke, creating a little heart. Love. That was another topic she couldn't understand, even if she tried. How could one be bound to another for the rest of their lives? She thought that, of course, with her past and current husband in mind. Her past husband was to create offspring, which she unfortunately had created 3 whole entities. Then she realized that went against her ideals and abandoned her past life. She doesn't know why she got married again, life being single was wonderful. Maybe it was to fulfill the emptiness in her heart she always had. Even as a child, she never had crushes, or dated anyone. And when she was old enough, she just found the first guy she saw off the street. That's how she got her second husband too. Then again, she remembered something she had tried to dig deep down in her brain. Women. She knew she wasn't straight, but how could she say that, even to herself? Besides, what type of women would even -- she turned around swiftly as she heard the Ding! notification from her Android.
She ran over quickly, it's been a while since she got notifications like that. She was surprised to find out they were from TikTok, her fame had died out ages ago, and there were quite a lot too. She opened her comments on her latest video and found they were all talking about a women named "Cheryl." Who was that? She tried to see if she knew any Cheryl's, but the only person that came to mind was the new, hip, and trendy TikToker, QUEEN CHERYL. Feeling as if a light bulb had hit her head, she quickly searched up Cheryl's name in the TikTok search bar. Many of her videos were with a guy named Quran, and he looked pretty young compared to Cheryl. In fact, a LOT younger. She saw the comments pointing out the couple's almost 40 year old age difference, mostly bashing it. She found herself getting angered by it too, but not for the same moral reasons most of the comments were pointing out. In fact, her reason was far from practical. Quaran didn't deserve her, Cheryl deserved a smart, well-educated, and beautiful woman to stand by her side, not this young 24 year old who looks like he wasn't made for the spotlight on TikTok. Besides, he already looked bored of it. Karen on the other hand...she shook her head. Now wasn't the time. But...she did get an idea. She was going to create a fake scandal to regain her popularity on TikTok, she could already see it. Hello Money! She could also buy more drugs and get a bigger house. She was already planning it in her head with a devious smile...this was going to go perfectly.
