I'm Pregnant

Summary:

Prompt from tumblr: Bianca telling the family that she is pregnant.

Work Text:

“How do you think they are going to react?” Charlie asked Bianca whilst she was getting ready.
“I don’t know.” Bianca said making Charlie to worry even more. “I mean they’re going to be fine, I guess. Maybe.”
“Maybe?”
“I know they’ll be fine as we aren’t 18 and we both have jobs and stuff.”
“But? There is always a but with you.”
“But it wouldn’t surprise me if someone dropped a glass or choked or fell off a chair or something. We have been very secretive about the whole situation for the past two months. It might be a bit sudden for them.”
“I don’t mind a broken glass. I just hope your dad doesn’t kill me.” Even though they were a couple for a decade at that point, he never forgot Nico’s shove talk, and to be frank he still is very afraid of him.
“He won’t kill you. He likes you.” She reassured him.
“I don’t think he’ll react well to me getting his daughter pregnant. I mean, Will likes me.”
“Because you’ve been boosting his surgery god complex for the past decade. Why are you so stressed? It’s our family we’re talking about. And if you are worried about reactions may I remind you who had the worst reaction when we started dating?”
“I’m still trying to forget that.”
“But everything worked out at the end. Hasn’t it?”
“I guess.” He said and kissed her shoulder.
“It might be the first time you’re more worried than me.” She remarked.
“The first time?”
“Okay, I might stress you out more than I should.” She laughed thinking how Charlie was putting up with her all the time. “I’m sure everything is going to be okay. They love us. They’ll be excited. They were excited when we were thinking of adopting a dog. Imagine how they’ll act about a baby.”
“I hate it when you’re always right. I’ll let you get ready before you get annoyed with me.”
“Can you check the brownies?”
“Whatever you want, my love.”
Within the next hour, their families came to their apartment as planned. The only ones who didn’t come were Ryder as he had a game and Theo who was still in Houston.
They didn’t think that it would be hard to tell them their news. But they forgot a very important detail. All of their family members enjoyed talking to the point nobody could keep track of the different conversations that were taking place. “How are we supposed to tell them.” Charlie whispered to Bianca.
“I’m pregnant.” She said loud enough to hear.
“Really?” Jasmine asked.
“Yes, we have known since Christmas.” After a wave of Congratulations and questions they all sat in the living room.
“I owe 50 dollars to Annabeth.” Will said as he got out his wallet and gave the money to her. Annabeth took the money and mouthed thank you.
“You made a bet about this?” Charlie asked a bit confused.
“A year ago.” Jasmine replied. “And Lana owes me 100.”
“The first bets were on your wedding day.” Lana said. “I thought you would tell us right after the honeymoon.”
“I was so close. I said Christmas.” Jasmine added. “And then first weekend of March.”
“Beginning of February.” Will replied.
“What about you mum?”
“I said last weekend of February. And I won.”
“It isn’t a competition.”
“Because you didn’t win.” Annabeth bragged.
Lana turned to Zoe who was surprisingly calm. “I thought you would be more excited.”
“The news were my Christmas present. The fact that I managed to keep it a secret is an accomplishment.” She turned to Bianca. “See, I managed to do it.”
“I never doubted you.”
“I did.” Charlie replied.
“When will you divorce him?” Zoe asked Bianca. Charlie was giving her the finger as he was going into their room, from an angle none of their parents could see. “It’s okay. I’ll adopt your unborn child.” He didn’t respond to him.
“Won’t you get any money?” Bianca questioned her best friend.
“I would never monetise the existence of my unborn nephew or niece.”
“I was sure you would tell her first.” Annabeth added.
“Zoe wanted to bet me 500 dollars.” Jasmine continued.
“You’re lucky, you aren’t my little sister.”
“Anyway, when are the bets about the due date starting?”
“In spring. I’ll be in charge.” Bianca said and left the living room.
“Why did I agree to bet the not-your-type story?” Percy complained.
“That’s why you never bet anything other than money. And now you lost eternal rights to the retelling for all generations to come.” Annabeth joked even though what she had said was true.
“Hey.” Bianca said as she sat on the side balcony next to Nico. “You disappeared after dinner.”
“Percy kept begging me not to keep the pact we made. And I can take that much.”
“I thought it had something with me saying that I’m pregnant.”
“Absolutely not. Never. Don’t even think something like that again. I’m sorry If I gave you the impression that I am not happy and proud that you are having a baby.”
“Really? I didn’t really think that it bothered you, but I wanted to make sure.”
“The only person who is bothering me tonight is Percy.” He chuckled. “I can’t believe that you’re going to be a mum. It honestly feels like yesterday when you were 5 and staying up late with me when I had to correct papers and refused to sleep. I know you and Charlie are going to be amazing parents. But don’t tell him that I said that.”
