Summary
Sometimes Eijirou imagines leaning his face in, just an inch or two closer, and closing the gap between his and Bakugou’s face when they say their goodbyes in the mornings. Sometimes he imagines pressing up against katsuki’s back when he’s cooking, closing in on the other until he can’t even begin to think of anything other than Eijirou.
But he can’t. He shouldn’t. For many reasons, like the fact that Katsuki’s his daughters Nanny, and he can’t mix his work life with his personal life. It would also be weird for Misaki. She probably wouldn’t react well to Kirishima dating, especially if it was her “best friend Katsuki”.
In all honesty though, the real reason is because he isn’t ready, and he isn’t sure he ever will be. Eijirou isn’t ready for another heart break. He doesn’t want to feel the crippling pain of not being enough for someone. Above all, he doesn’t want to risk losing Katsuki. The way he feels about the blonde is something he’s never felt before, and he wants to cherish it for as long as he can.
