Summary
Oswald was already regretting saying what he’d said. If he could have, he would have sucked the traitorous words right back in and crushed them between his teeth. Being honest and open with his feelings around this man hadn’t exactly served him well in the past. All it did, frankly, was give him more ammo for his most powerful and cruel weapon against Oswald, which he had personally hand-wrapped and gifted to him, and which he could never steal back.
Oswald drives Edward home after saving him from Sofia's goons on the dock so they can lick their wounds in relative peace. The renewed proximity forces them to confront the tangled web of emotions between them, including what has changed, what hasn't, and what that means for their future.
