Summary
Sophie Moore is a young and driven marketing guru. Two and half years after George Floyd's murder the impact is still being felt. in the midst of her major presentation, Sophie makes a sudden decision that will change the trajectory of her life forever.
Ryan Wilder is a woman on a mission to revive Maroon Lake, a former Black settlement, that is now a predominantly white community except for Ryan and Mama Cora. They are descendants of the original Black settlers of Maroon Lake.
Sophie decides she needs to get away and books a cabin in Maroon Lake for an indefinite stay. Will Sophie find what she is looking for in Maroon Lake? Will Ryan's plan to revive the town work? What will happen when these two paths cross?
