Eijiro has always been the touchy type, much to Katsuki’s…he wasn’t fucking flustered okay? But, how could he not be when the hottest guy on the damn planet would just casually come and drape an arm across his shoulder? Link pinkies with him while walking to class? Play with his fingers when they were studying? And fuck…kiss him randomly during the night and confess his feelings?
It was simple, really. They were doing the thing they loved most, hanging in each other’s silent company. Both laying on his bed while scrolling through their phones. Katsuki got bored after a while, so he let his screen close and looked at Eijiro instead.
He was laughing about something, his face in a soft grin, his eyes so radiant in the low light of his room. His loose, freshly washed hair was splayed across the pillow, ribbons of red around the dark shade of his pillow case. Katsuki turned to face him fully, not resisting the urge to rub his nose on his cheek.
“Hey to you too, Kats.” He chuckled.
Eijiro turned to wrap an arm around his waist, getting closer.
“You tired?”
Katsuki had shaken his head, letting himself bask in the small contact that was bringing him tingles.
He closed his eyes, taking a breath in as he realized he was a goddamn liar. He was actually kind of tired, but he sure as hell wasn’t gonna tell Eijiro that.
He felt himself smiling as he heard Eijiro click his phone closed. He faced him fully then, Katsuki feeling the heat of him, the chill of his breath on his cheeks.
Eijiro pressed their foreheads together, giving his nose a small rub with his own. Katsuki fully basked himself in the feeling of his best friend, his crush, pressing himself so closely. His arms wrapping around the small of his back, his legs slotting between his.
“Katsuki?” Eijiro asked in the quiet.
His eyes blinked open and Katsuki was not ready for the sight. The sight of Eijiro’s carmine mixing with his own crimson. His pretty lips pursing as his eyebrows furrowed.
And then, he smiled.
Katsuki had climbed many a mountain, had kissed the sky with his palm outstretched as the early morning sunrise gave to the bright beams of the sun. The colors of the horizon spilling across the clouds with a harmony of yellows and pale orange. The flutter of a bird gliding amongst the hues.
He’d walked back home in the sunset on a warm night, the sun finally tucking itself away for the day as it lay across the sky with creamy pinks and purples. He’s traced the clouds with his finger as his walk slowed to take in the evening’s embrace.
He’s laid with Eijiro as their eyes waltzed around the stars, the galaxy at their fingertips as they watched in awe with their hands intertwined. Taken by the way the constellations crescendoed in the darkness as the moon shone through.
But nothing was compared to the beauty of Eijiro’s smile as he looked at him with so much wonder. His gaze as radiant as the sunrise. The sunset spilling across his cheeks. Starlight sprouting in his smile.
The look of him before he brought their hearts together for the first time as he pressed his lips softly against his own.
“I like you, Katsuki.” He whispered as if Katsuki’s heart didn’t already belong to him.
“Go out with me then, Eij.”
“Like on a date?”
“That too.”
“Too?” He laughed, turning to rest his head on his shoulder.
“We’re basically boyfriends already, dummy.”
“Okay.” Eijiro chuckled, giving him a kiss on his cheek.
Now that Eijiro was his boyfriend for almost a year? Yeah, the cute ass idiot was extremely cuddly and clingy. In an adorable, makes his heart spin, his cheeks heat, his face hurt from smiling kind of way. So much so that he aches when they’re even five seconds apart. Eijiro could go to his dorm for a second and he’d already feel dumb tears springing in his eyes.
It just comes from the territory of being in love with his absolute favorite person, his best friend who he was lucky enough to have as a boyfriend. He loved being able to fall in love further with Eijiro every single damn day. It was like he did things on purpose. When he would look at him in a certain way with those cherry red eyes of his. Like he was seeing the entire night sky in his gaze and had to soak up every second. Or the way he would smile at him sometimes with his big, goofy grin that was so Eijiro he had every crevice of it painted to his memory. The way he would wrap his arms around him at night like he couldn’t bear to let go. How he would let all his worries, his doubts, fall on his embrace and lace around them with love.
He especially felt his love this morning, the way the sun was cutting through the crinkles of his smile, the warm beams spilling across his radiant locks like the morning sun knew it had to share its light with its most gorgeous beam.
“Hmm, morning handsome.” Eijiro mumbled against his skin, kissing his cheek as he held him tighter.
“Time is it, Eij?”
“Ah--time for me to hold you.”
“You’re dumb. We’re gonna be late for class.”
“Nah, we still have an hour.”
“It takes two for you to do your damn hair.”
“No, only 30 minutes.” Eijiro moved to where he was laying on his chest, wrapping his arms around his waist and nuzzling his face in his neck.
“I love you so much today.” Eijiro laughed, kissing the corner of his mouth.
“Only today?” He asked with a raise of his eyebrow.
“Mmm hmm, only today. All the other days of my life? I adore you.”
“You’re funny today.”
“And you’re gorgeous today.” Eijiro beams, starting to pepper his face with kisses.
“I guess I kind of have a crush on you.”
“Aw man, that’s basically a marriage proposal coming from you.”
Katsuki laughs, “Pretty much.”
Katsuki turns to kiss him, letting himself get lost in the sensation of kissing his boyfriend, someone who he was convinced was the absolute love of his life. He might just be young and emotional and in love, but he was sure of it. Kirishima Eijiro is the love of his life. And for today, he especially felt that in his heart.
Eijiro started kissing him again and again. Even the hint of him pulling away, he would hold him that much tighter and pout at the fact that he even dared to move a centimeter away from him.
“15 more minutes, you don’t even have to make me breakfast today.”
“Who said I was gonna make you breakfast, eh?” He teased.
“You always do.” Eijiro said with a kiss on his lips.
“Alright, 15. But if you don’t get up I’m letting your ass go late to class.”.
“Okay.” Eijiro yawned, tangling their legs and letting the blanket fall on their shoulders.
Katsuki didn’t even have to worry about Eijiro not waking up on time, because as soon as he stretched awake, he rolled on top of him with a kiss.
“Only 15 minutes.”
“Aw, but that felt like 5 minutes.”
Katsuki laughed, unable to keep himself from kissing that beautiful pout.
“If we go to class early, you can sit with me until the nerd comes.”
“Okay!” Eijiro grinned, like he had just told him they invented an extra extra hold hair gel.
Katsuki somehow managed to get ready with Eijiro wrapping his arms around his waist as he brushed his teeth and did the rest of his morning routine. He only managed to kick Eijiro out of the restroom when he pushed him out and said he needed to use the toilet. Every second after that, Eijiro was kissing every place he could reach. A kiss after he pulled on his shirt, his school pants, tied his shoes, and put on his school jacket.
He did know how Eijiro managed to rush his hair routine, but his disheveled tie and wrinkled shirt gave him his answer. Katsuki clicked his teeth, pushing Eijiro away by his shoulder to fix his crooked tie. His boyfriend, of course, was kissing the top of his head as he did it, carding his fingers through his hair, telling him thank you with such a tender tone spilling from his lips.
Katsuki blushed, the tips of his ears drenched in pink as he smirked.
Eijiro laced their fingers together as soon as they walked out the door, swinging their arms between. As soon as they stepped onto the elevator, Eijiro pulled him into a hug. He hummed, kissing his cheek with so much love, Katsuki almost felt like crying.
“You alright, Eij?”
He shrugged, “I just feel like loving you today.” He said this like it was reason enough, like Katsuki deserved the affection that was pouring out of his boyfriend this morning. Most of the time, Katsuki didn’t know how to reciprocate all the kisses and hugs and small “I love you”s whispered between them. It’s not like Eijiro ever gave him the chance, as the love that came from him felt endless. A fountain overflowing that quenched his dry, fragile heart.
“You’re a dork.” He chuckled.
Eijiro smiled at him so softly, moving one of his hands to the back of his neck.
Katsuki felt breathless as Eijiro pulled him into a kiss. The world faded into swirls as he pressed their lips together, like the whole world around them was a painting, capturing their beautiful moment in time.
Eijiro happily greeted the early risers in the common room as he quickly pulled him out of the building, the doors not even closing behind him as he took his face in his hands to kiss him.
“Eij…” He groaned.
“You look so cute today.” Eijiro said this like he was so sure of it, a sigh coming out at the end of his sentence.
“I look the same.” He grunted.
“Exactly, you look cute every day!” Eijiro’s smile rivaled the early morning sun, shining brighter than the golden hues that were cutting through the clouds.
“Come on.” He chuckled, grabbing his hand and pulling him towards the direction of the school building.
Eijiro automatically took the seat behind him as they reached the classroom, basically pouting as he told him to turn around.
He wanted to tease him, to tell him no and have Eijiro pout until he gave in. But with that look his boyfriend was giving him--like he was the most treasured thing in the world--he found himself turning automatically.
Eijiro immediately grabbed his hand, bringing it to his lips for a kiss.
“Hey, baby!” He beamed, kissing his knuckles.
He chuckled, deciding not to fight against the nickname, “Hi Eiji.”
His boyfriend tangled their fingers together, not letting go until he had to go back to his desk for the start of class.
During lunch, Eijiro pulled him out into the school courtyard, waving apologetically to Kaminari and Sero who asked them to their table.
Eijiro found a patch of grass to sit on, ignoring his complaint about the possibility of grass stains.
His boyfriend, possibly the sappiest guy on the planet, took out their lunches and set them in front of them with a smile that could part the clouds.
He told him to sit, patting the space next to him. Katsuki did as he was told, snorting at Eijiro’s grin that somehow grew even bigger.
Eijiro ate quickly like he wanted to get it over with. And, considering his mood today, it made sense that he was inhaling his food.
With a wipe of his hands--on his pants for fuck sake--Eijiro rested his elbow on his knee, his chin on his palm, looking at him with stars in his eyes.
“What are you looking at, dummy?” He teased, hoping Eijiro didn’t notice his ever present blush at this point.
“The most handsome guy in the world.”
Katsuki snorted, “I don’t see you looking into a mirror.”
Eijiro’s eyes teared up, his smile turning wobbly. Fucking hell, what an adorable idiot.
Katsuki put the food he was eating down, clicking his teeth.
“C’mere, idiot.”
He held his arms open, and he swore Eijiro was the damn cutest thing on the planet, scooting towards him and surely getting grass stains on his pants.
He pulled Eijiro into the space between his legs, his back resting on his chest as he wrapped his arms around his waist.
He rocked him side to side a little, placing small kisses on his boyfriend’s cheek.
Eijiro sighed, and then sniffed, making Katsuki’s heart jump.
He rested his chin on Eijiro’s shoulder, knowing his beautiful boyfriend was sweetly overwhelmed.
“You’re too sweet to me, Eiji. Can’t believe you love me so much.”
“I can’t believe you love me so much.” Eijiro sniffed, shaking his head as if he was attempting to shake off his tears.
“Who said I loved you, huh?” Katsuki teased, kissing Eijiro’s shoulder.
Eijiro laughed, the sound so wonderful, now Katsuki was the one wanting to cry.
He wished that they didn’t have to go back to school today. That they could just sit here in the grass, finding love within each other. But, as he checked the time, he knew they had to go.
“Let's go to class.” He whispered, kissing Eijiro one last time.
Eijiro turned to him, pouting, before he took his face in his hands and gave him a strong kiss.
The school day was finally over and Eijiro followed him back to his dorm, holding on to the back of his shirt as they walked.
“Aren’t you gonna change, dummy?”
“Oh, right.” Eijiro frowned.
Katsuki let out a groan, smiling, taking Eijiro’s face in his hands and squishing his cheeks.
“You can borrow clothes, you pouty dork.”
“Okay!” Eijiro beamed.
He could honestly never get over the way Eijiro looked in his clothes. How good he looked in darker colors, a shirt that fit him perfectly slightly smaller on Eijiro’s frame. How goddamn hot he looked in his hoodies, so much so he kinda wanted to trade wardrobes with him. But, he doesn’t think he wants to wear Eijiro’s… patterns.
Eijiro came to his bed, pulled on a hoodie that was practically his at this point, and gave him a big hug.
“You look cute.” He decided to say, pinching Eijiro’s nose as he let go.
“You look even cuter.”
Katsuki shook his head, telling Eijiro to lay down with him.
“No homework today?”
“Nah, not today.”
Eijiro nodded, asking if he wanted to watch a movie on his laptop.
Katsuki shrugged, and Eijiro took that as a yes.
He put on a movie that they’ve seen plenty of times before, knowing that they’d probably fall asleep before it finished.
Eijiro pulled the blankets over them, pulling him onto his lap and kissing the back of his head.
“Sorry, I’m kinda a lot today, aren’t I?”
Katsuki scoffed, “You’re never a lot.”
Eijiro hummed, wrapping his arms around his waist and starting to rub circles on his stomach.
“I’m in love with you, Katsuki.”
Katsuki laughed, “I know.”
He felt Eijiro shake his head, moving to pause the movie they weren’t even watching.
“Katsuki, I’m in love with you. I-I don’t just love you.”
Katsuki felt his heart shake, and like a bridge broke, his tears came pouring out of him. Maybe it was just everything about today. Maybe it was because a heart so sweet somehow wanted him. Maybe it was because Eijiro was his whole entire world.
But no, he knew it. He knew upon first laying eyes on that stupid guy with that stupid hair that made his heart feel so funny and warm, that his life was going to change forever. He knew that as soon as Eijiro stuck by his side, he never wanted to let go of those arms that were so willing to hold him. He knew he could never be without Eijiro. And he also knew he didn’t just love him. But that he was in love with him, too.
“Oh no, baby. Don’t cry.” Eijiro whispered, kissing the trickle of his tears.
He let himself be turned in Eijiro’s arms, a thumb coming to wipe a tear from his eye.
“I’m in love with you too, Ei.”
And fuck, now they were both crying messes. Tears and love and adoration and beauty mixing in a perfect melody.
Katsuki took his face in his hands, closing that gap between them, and kissed him with everything he had. Hoping that this moment, this day, is one that he’d remember forever. The day he decided that Eijiro was stuck with him, no matter what. That he’d go to sleep in those arms and wake up in them every day of his life.
And maybe, he was too young to be thinking about this crap right now. Maybe he was just being an emotional teenager, so caught up in the feeling of his first love.
But how could he not be so completely enamored by Kirishima Eijiro? A person who held out his hand with every hope and never let himself let go.
Eijiro pulled them apart, taking his sleeve to wipe away both their tears.
The movie was already forgotten about, the lights still on, the bed way too small. But all that didn’t matter. Not when the person he loves is embracing him with so much care. Not when he had Eijiro to hold and be clingy with for the rest of his life.
