‘Oh please,’ said Deacon, ‘you two have too much sex. It’s getting boring.’
Both vampire and werewolf gaped at the unwarranted commentary. Anton’s hands froze where they’d been adjusting Viago’s comically large bow tie.
‘He is right,’ added Vladislav. ‘I could never have so much sex with just one other person. You should join me and Pauline some times. Maybe bring some other sexy people?’
Deacon was aghast: ‘you’d invite them to your orgies? You’ve never invited me to an orgy.’
‘Yes I have, you were there that time when…’
Viago and Anton exchanged a silent glance. As the other two carried on arguing, they slipped out the door and into the night.
‘It doesn’t count if it’s council business!’ Deacon argued.
‘Fine, you can join us next time. What about you tw–‘ Vladislav turned to find the hallway empty and the door slightly ajar. As he went to close it, two figures floated away into the sky. Vladislav’s face contorted. ‘Disgusting,’ he said and shut the door.
‘Forget about them. I’m calling Katherine, she’s always down to boogie.’
