Tommy was never really the sentimental type he'd say. Nope. He was a lone wolf from womb to tomb. That analogy doesn't really work for him but you get the point.
That also meant that taking up scrapbooking was not exactly something he had foreseen. He was aware that it didn't really fit his big man persona, believe Tommy, he had been reminded relentlessly. Maybe that's why he was hesitating to show Wilbur his progress.
Or, maybe, it was the sheer amount of stolen memorabilia he had taken from his brother for his pages. He was not getting made fun of for being ‘endearing’ or ‘clingy’ today, no siree.
