Summary
Boybands have typically had more success than their female counterparts. There’s just something about a group of attractive young men singing love songs that makes young girls and gay or bisexual boys go wild. Especially when the members of a boyband are Doms. But there has long been rumours circulating in the media and fan conspiracies that there’s secretly a sub in every boyband. For popular boybands of the nineties, a member coming out as a sub had truly damaged careers. So when the next big boyband, One Direction, formed on The X Factor in 2010, the groups mentor was so eager to conceal the fact there was a sub in the band that not even the other four boys knew the truth about their fifth member.
