“It’s all me.” Hera said softly as she placed her hand on Kanan’s face. A smile formed on the Jedi’s face as he leaned in for the kiss. The warmth in his body spread to Hera. They would now be together again.
Kanan pulled away as the heat around them got intense. He shoved Hera away from him and turned to a rising fireball.
“Kanan, what-” Hera called out as she followed. Kanan held up his other hand, stopping her in her in mid-air. Hera tried to reach out, but Kanan just looked at her. “Please… Kanan…” Hera cried out as tears started to fall.
“Goodbye, Hera.” Kanan said as a ball of fire consumed him. Hera was pushed away before the inferno reached her.
“Kanan!” Hera screamed as she reached out. He is gone…

Hera’s eyes opened. “Again…” Wiping tears away, she sat up. His death played out in Hera’s mind. The dream has been less frequent as time went on. “Love, I…” He had become one with the Force. Could Hera be heard?
Hera stepped out of the Ghost. Maybe, she thought to herself. “I miss you, love.” She whispered as she watched rebel pilots start to prepare for missions. Hera felt a warm touch on her face.
“I'm here, always.” Said a quiet voice.
