Chapter Text
Since you were adopted by your parents from Piltover, you never stepped a foot into Zaun again, not only because you weren't allowed, but because you were always occupied by some kind of work that you didnt even have time.
It has been 17 years since you started living in Piltover in one of the best apartment buildings around. Close to the council, close to the plaza, everything. Sometimes you think about how it would be if you were a part of the Lanes, but most of the time you just wish to be able to go there at least for a while. You don't remember the place at all, since you were taken away only a while after you were born. What was engraved into you memory forever though was the smell of the whole Undercity. Ever since then, you never smelled anything like that.
You were calmly walking thought the city, hands in your pockets, enjoying the calm weather and the sun shining onto your not-so-pale face. It used to be silk white, but ever since you started going out more, you caught a little more of a golden color. Thanks to that, you didnt look like a walking vampire anymore (and thank god, it was starting to be a little out of style even for you).
On your way to the council, you met the young Kiramman girl. You knew her since you were kids, as your family is one of the wealthier ones, thus forcing you to play with others' kids in the wealthy range. You never really minded, you actually didn't even care to be quite honest. Kiramman was one of those few that actually grew close to your heart, along with the Talis' boy and a few others', whom you haven't seen in a while, making you forget their names. You decided to call out to her and ask her where she's going, maybe joining her on her way there. "Hey there, Caitlynn! How's life been treating you? Headed anywhere in particular?". Caitlynn, a little stunned by all those questions, blinked a few times to get out of the trance, responding on a whim "Hey there, Y/N! Actually, life's been going pretty well, headed towards the Lanes now. There's a girl I'd like for you to meet actually.." she seemed to be in deep thoughts for a bit, but snapped out of them in a second. She looked at you, questioning you with her uplifted eyebrow, to which you just nodded and slowly headed after her.
"Do you know Jayce became a councellor a while ago?" Caitlynn asked you, smiling only with her eyes as always, to not show any emotion whatsoever. "Yeah, I heard. Must've been a big shock for his mum though." you said, smiling sheepishly. Jayce's mother was like your second mother, as your parents were often out of the city for business matters. "Wondering these days about how long he'll last, though" you said, laughing a bit. You didn't doubt Jayce got what it took at all, but you were indeed a bit of a tease.
"Would you mind telling me about the girl I'm supposed to meet though?" you asked Cait after a while of walking to the lanes. You were a little worried if your parents wouldn't mind, but considering your 18th birthday was due in a week, you didn't really care that much. "Well, she's nice, mainly. Has been in the Stillwaters prison for the past 10 years or so, falsely accused of something from what I've heard from her." She just shrugged. Because of your upbringing, you needed to ask her, not believing what she said " And are you absolutely sure she's not dangerous or anything?". To that, Caitlynn just looked you up and down, said a quick no and continued to walk forward quietly the whole time.
Before going to the Lanes, both of you stopped by the armory to equip something more suitable for your little trip. You took a small gun, a small sword and a rifle. You never knew what could come in handy, at least that's what you've been taught your whole life. Then, without a warning, you both went ahead to meet a Zaunian pink haired girl, who Caitlynn called "Vi". You had no clue what to expect, but an adventure was waiting for you, wasn't it?
