Summary
In the days since learning of Kagome’s missing soulmark, Rin found herself preoccupied with cataloging everything she actually knew about them. It was said great lords and generals found their soulmates by dispatching troops to search for the person whose mark matched their master’s. It was a tall order – the same character, in the same hue, written on the same part of the body. Charlatans seeking their fortune by painting a counterfeit mark with make-up were far more common than a true match.

In a society where every human has a mark on their skin that matches their soulmate's, Rin has always carefully hidden that she doesn't have one. Upon learning Kagome is also markless, Rin recruits Sesshoumaru to help her learn the truth and find her destiny.
