“We solemnly swear that we are up to no good!” Came the well known intro of the channel, called out in unison by the 4 boy who run it. They are sat on a sofa, facing the camera.
“Welcome people to Maraudering Mischief.” The long haired boy introduces.
“We are just 4 best friends who are inviting you all to come along for the ride that is our lives” the boy sitting next to him adds, ruffling his hair a bit.
“The type of content you’ll find here ranges from challenges, vlogs, pranks and whatever else we come up with.” Continues the short boy on the opposite side of the bespectacled one
The last boy, sat beside the long haired boy who spoke first, chimes in “We hope you enjoy the videos we put out because we have tons of fun making them!”
“We all have our own personal channels too and we’ve decided to use this trailer to introduce ourselves to any new viewer who’s stumbled across us” the short boy picks back up
The video of the boys fades out and a short clip of the messy haired one is shown. In this clip he is playing the whipped cream Russian roulette game. He turns the dial and the hand smacks him in the face. It freeze frames on the image.
A voice-over is heard “I’m James Potter. I’m 22 years old. I’m a bit of a mum friend but with friends like mine someone needs to take charge!” His account names slowly appear on the screen as he mentions them “You can find me at my own channel ‘DeerlyBelovedJames’, my twitter which is ‘@It’s_James_Doe!’, My insta is '_Bambi', Sirius changed it and I can't be bothered to change it back, and finally my tumblr ‘i-wasn’t-fawn-yesterday’. Yes most of my content is focused around deer puns…gotta brand to keep!”
Another short clip is shown, but this time of the first boy. He turns his head to face the camera and flips it off, clearly not expecting it to be there.
Once again a voice-over starts playing “Star light, star bright, I’m the only star you’ll need tonight! What’s up, I’m Sirius Black and I’m 22, 23 in like 4 months but who’s counting? I’m a Scorpio. I like old rock music and I feel like I’m making an 80s dating profile. If you wanna follow me my accounts are as followed: YouTube: ‘STARlight Barking’, Twitter: ‘@_Padfoot_’, Tumblr: ‘a-round-of-apaws’, Instagram: 'StarCrazy'.” Just like last time, the names of the accounts appear on screen.
The next short clip is of the quiet boy who spoke last. In the clip he is shown harmlessly threatening to hit Sirius with the book currently in his hands. The voice-over starts “Hi, my name’s Remus Lupin. I am currently 22 years of age and I find it a miracle I’ve lasted this long, especially when I have to deal with these three.” He laughs “Nah, I’m just kidding, I love these idiots. Don’t worry about the scars on my face, my family was run off the road by a drunk driver. I’ve had them since I was 4. My personal channel is ‘LoonyLupin’ and I mainly review books that I’ve read. I also discuss music sometimes. You might see a few prank videos if we end up in a house prank war, which knowing James and Sirius will probably be in a few weeks. I don’t use my twitter because to be honest with you, I can’t be arsed for all the shit that goes on there but if you want to follow it then it's '@HeyMoon'. I have a Tumblr where I share my self-deprecating thoughts with the world; my URL is ‘shy-bi-and-ready-to-die. My instagram is mainly filled with images I find comforting and the occasional life update. The account name is kinda boring, it's simply 'r.j.lupin'.”
The last clip shown is the short boy in some dark blue swimming trunks, running and cannon balling into a swimming pool. “My name’s Peter Pettigrew, I am also 22 and I don’t really know what to say. Erm, I’m really good at chess? I’ve never had to sell myself to people before…as you can probably tell. I may seem shy and timid but it’s all an act, I can be really cunning when I want to be. Mainly when it comes to pranks. I was always the lookout at school but that doesn’t mean I didn’t help with the planning! Erm, oh yeah personal channel! The video then cuts back to the opening shot of the 4 of them.
“We also have a gaming channel. We're planning to have a Mario Kart tournament in a couple of weeks. You can find that at ‘Marauders Multiplayer’ when it eventually comes out” James pipes up.
Remus takes that as his cue to add “Our 2nd channel is ‘Up 2 No Good’ and is where we live-stream. All the links to everything will be in the description”
“So yeah, once again welcome…there’s no getting out now” laughs Sirius
Peter just smiles “Enjoy!”
They all look at each other before looking back at the camera and shouting “Mischief Managed!”
