Chapter Text
Moving thousands of children from Kamino to Morut was an incredibly difficult job.
Leaving the still developing Pups behind was even more difficult.
Jango left many of his more battle hardened sons at the cloning facility to watch over their baby brothers. To guard and protect, aid Shaak Ti in documenting the last few batches before the whole thing was finely at an end.
The cloning process had to continue for longer than Jango would have liked, there had been embryos waiting for growth tubes by the time the war hand ended. Jango would never order them to be destroyed. The last of his DNA samples had been used. It was almost over.
Once the Pups were removed from their tubes they were carefully transported to Morut to start their lives. No experiments, no accelerated aging. They would get the chance to be normal children.
A trooper named Umbra, who was guarding the Pups, had noticed some strange activity going on in one of the labs. Having worked with Commander Bly as a scout during the war meant Umbra was quick at picking up information and noting down activity. He kept an eye on the goings on the best he could, but was soon found out and told to ‘mind his own business.’
Umbra reported this to Shaak Ti who promised she would look into it.
What she found caused shock and sadness to wash over her. She got on the comm as quickly as she could.

It was now Midwinter on Morut, nearing the end of their first year there. There was a light dusting of snow on the ground, the air held a sharp but pleasant chill and the whole planet carried a warm, cosy feeling.
Jango watched Meg and Numa playing around the fountain in the main plaza. The sound of the girls laughing had made Jango decide that his sons could start their families, there was going to be a lot of planning going on. Mid to late Spring would be the best time as the weather would be warm enough to be comfortable.
He was just about to get back to work when his comm went off. Raising an eyebrow Jango looked at the call signature, it was Shaak Ti. If she was calling then something must be wrong on Kamino. Jango answered, listened to what was being said with a growing numbness in his chest.
He had never thought something like this would happen...
