Chapter Text
Wood quietly made her way to the tree stump. She had been working with the heroes for a while now, so she knew her way around. When she finally came to the entrance, Newkirk was sitting on top of it waiting for her.
"Hello love," he said as he leaned in to kiss her.
“Hello Peter,” she smiled. Wood loved that he waited for her every single time.
“Let me help you with that.”
Wood was carrying two large bags with her. Newkirk grabbed one and started down the tunnel. Wood followed in after him carrying the other. As usual, the rest of the heroes were waiting in the radio room to greet her.
“Nice to see you Wood,” Hogan said. “London said you were coming, but they didn’t mention why.”
“I was bringing you guys some more medical supplies,” Wood answered, pointing at the two bags. “Some penicillin, syringes, gauze, and bandages.”
“Don’t they usually air drop that stuff?” LeBeau asked as he helped unpack everything.
“Yeah, but they’ve been dealing with a lot of anti-aircraft artillery. The Germans have been keeping a close eye on this area because of all the Allied planes coming through. They think they’re involved with the sabotage going on here,” Wood answered.
“That’s no good. This could really hurt our operation,” Hogan said.
“Yeah, London is starting to take notice. The Germans have a couple of anti-aircraft batteries in the area already. They want us to take them out.”
Hogan sighed. “I knew you weren’t just here to bring supplies.”
