“Lan Zhan…where are you taking me” Jiang Cheng whines as Lan Zhan wraps a hand around his wrist and drags him along the paths of Cloud Recesses. Lan Zhan just keeps dragging him along, not really giving Jiang Cheng’s feet a chance to keep up with him. He trips several times, his free hand accidentally brushing the small of Lan Zhan’s back as he tries to steady himself.
“You need a break” Lan Zhan explains, the tips of his ears have gone endearingly pink and Jiang Cheng rolls his eyes.
“You could’ve just said something, you’re basically kidnapping me” Jiang Cheng states but continues to let Lan Zhan drag him along. Lan Zhan doesn’t roll his eyes, but the look he shoots Jiang Cheng over the shoulder could nearly be considered an eye roll.
It makes Jiang Cheng feel proud.
They break through the many trees and greenery, and Lan Zhan leads them towards the small clearing where the bunnies reside in. “Come, let’s sit” Lan Zhan demands flapping his sleeves delicately as he sits down on the ground.
“Fine, i’ll sit—but only because I wanna cuddle the bunnies” Jiang Cheng crumbles. It had been a rough day, and honestly, Jiang Cheng could not wait for it to end. Though he supposes things are looking up now that he’s here surrounded by a bunch of cute fluffy bunnies and in the company of his boyfriend.
“Does Wanyin trust me?” Lan Zhan asks seriously, and Jiang Cheng scoffs.
“Of course I do—what kind of stupid—“ Lan Zhan quiets him with a soft press of their lips.
“Lie down” Lan Zhan mumbles softly against Jiang Cheng’s lips.
“Lan Zhan” Lan Zhan shoves him lightly until Jiang Cheng is on his back.
“Try to lie as still as possible” Lan Zhan tells him, and before Jiang Cheng can question what is going on, Lan Zhan deposits a small rabbit on his chest. The small fluffy creature just wrinkles its nose and stares into Jiang Cheng’s eyes. In a similar manner, for the next following seconds, Lan Zhan goes around picking all the bunnies available only to drop them in a pile on top of Jiang Cheng.
Some of them thump around him for a bit, nose twitching making their whiskers tickle Jiang Cheng. It makes him laugh. “There he is” Lan Zhan mumbles laying down besides him causing a few bunnies to scurry off.
“You are utterly ridiculous” Jiang Cheng laughs fondly, then shuts his eyes sighing as Lan Zhan caresses the contours of his face.
“Something is bothering you, and you won’t speak about it—so bunny piles were the next best thing” Lan Zhan explains.
“How did you know?” Jiang Cheng asks softly.
“I always know” Lan Zhan tells him kissing Jiang Cheng’s forehead. “Whenever you’re ready, I’m here”
