A study of Moody Cookbook, Tigers captain from the Return until his death, Season 7, Day 32. In another word, a study of belonging.

welcome to my 3 month monster in the making, the 76k Ballad of Moody, featuring my little interpretation: a completely unremarkable human person. the story is, to some degree, about who he is. more importantly, it is about who he is not, and it is about where he is, and who he meets. it is a story fundamentally about belonging despite yourself, and about being loved. also, of course, since this is blaseball, it is about finding all of this amid a world of horrors.
the first chapter links to a twine: this is the "extended cut" featuring extra content-- the full 76k. the rest of the fic is the "director's cut", which is rather limited. i highly recommend reading the twine-- but note that while it has some mobile functionality, it will look much better on a full size screen, laptop or desktop.
