Chapter Text

The situation felt exceedingly familiar as class 3-A stood in the USJ awaiting some advanced rescue training when a red mist seemed to float up from the ground near the fountain. A large villain with claws and scraggly red hair stepped through the red mist, emerging slowly with silent footsteps that shouldn’t have been possible given that he was twice the height of most of the gathered teens and as buff as All Might in his prime. When he spoke, his voice was deep and scratchy, as if unused. The man had a quarter of his face missing, with his brain showing through. A nomu.

“For Shigaraki,” he breathed out in a raspy voice, causing many of the young heroes to worry as they had not heard Nomus talk before. Bakugou and Izuku had already blasted straight towards him at the moment he was revealed despite Aizawa’s shout, but the red mist which had moved in gentle waves around his feet flew out to envelope them. Izuku lifted his mask to breathe through the gas, and many members of class 3-A followed, but they quickly found the mist didn’t need to be breathed in to take effect.

Izuku paused as the mist thickened until he couldn’t see any of the others or the Villain.

“Kacchan? Uraraka! Can anyone hear me?!” He called out. There was no response. The red mist blocked out the light, and all Izuku could see in any direction was red. Green lightning flicked over his skin, and he jumped up to escape the red mist, but no matter how high he went, all he could see was red. He fell and landed, denting the ground just slightly. His eyes were watering slightly from the gas, and he blinked the tears away. However, the moment he opened his eyes, the red mist was gone, and so was the USJ.

Izuku found himself standing in a street, looking around. There was a cheesy taco fast food store, some business buildings, and several parked cars. The area was completely unrecognizable to him, it felt like he was out in the country with how small and spread out the buildings were. No fights, no evidence of the attacker, and nothing to show where he was. He glanced up at the sign of the shop to see English letters: Bueno Nacho just barely visible under the enormous sombrero decorating the top of the store. He couldn’t help feeling like the restaurant belonged in an amusement park with how over the top the decorations are. Or America. Wait.

Katsuki was a swearing mess as he struggled to pull himself out of the trash. He was half tempted to blow the damn dumpster up, but he didn’t want to get in trouble for ‘destruction of public property’. With a final heave, he managed to swing his shaky legs out and land in the alley. He pulled a banana peel off one of his grenade bracers, grimacing with disgust. He would have to take them apart and clean them out to make certain there was nothing in them that wasn’t supposed to be. Again. He cleaned himself off and stepped out of the alley into a busy intersection, only to see every person’s eyes on the news screen overlooking the square.

He stared with wide eyes as Lind L. Tailor clutched his chest, and collapsed on screen.

Uraraka was floating. This wasn’t an entirely new experience for her, but it was a bit abnormal that she wasn’t feeling nauseous at all. There was no feeling of her quirk pulling at her stomach the way it always did, and the red light that had filled her vision had faded to a swirling green. Uraraka stared with wide eyes as a door floated past her in the green expanse, revealing a distant castle on a floating island.

“Eh?!”

....

Denki Kaminari had a brief moment to wonder what he had done to deserve this. He only had a brief moment to wonder though before the pain locked up his muscles and blocked out the red from his view. In reaction, he quickly activated his quirk and redirected the electricity through a safe (ish) path in his body. The wattage was extremely low compared to what he was used to, so it wasn’t very difficult. Large enough that it could seriously hurt a young child or large animal, but still small enough that it wouldn’t kill. Well within Denki’s range, as someone who was used to redirecting or wielding lightning several times stronger.

The current cut itself off almost immediately, and Denki found himself standing between a yellow rat looking thing and a floating red and white ball with eyes.

“What the hell?!”

Mineta Minoru blinked and the red mist was gone. He was cramped, cold, there was a horrible rank smell, and he suddenly had a very difficult time breathing. He coughed and reached his hands out, trying to find his way in the dark. Thankfully, the dirt above him moved and he was able to forcefully crawl out of the hole in the ground. He grimaced when he realized he had just crawled out from some kind of monster sized shithole.

Suddenly, in the distance something roared. Minoru stared in that direction with wide eyes before quickly looking for something he could use to hide. There was a road with a crashed car he could see just barely through the trees. Minoru ran through the bushes, tears welling up as he noticed the size of the trees and surrounding plants. He wasn’t one of the smartest people in his class for nothing, even if he was easily distracted. Upon reaching the vehicle, Minoru swung open the door to look for a radio, trying his best to ignore the ominous logo on the side of the old Jeep: “Jurassic Park”.

Tokoyami blinked his eyes against the sudden rush of wind against his face, and barely had a moment to react before seeing a window in front of him. Dark Shadow rushed out and Tokoyami curled up, his arms and legs in front of his face to protect himself from the glass. Dark shadow barely managed to form a protective shield around him, before quickly morphing into wings to slow his fall enough for him to land safely within the ...church? Castle?

Tokoyami stood up from where he was crouched. The room he was in looked like a throne room, but there was clearly evidence of a destructive battle that had happened here many years ago. Above the large throne (much bigger than Tokoyami would have guessed for a human without a size quirk or mutation) was a beautiful glass mural depicting two winged unicorns circling each other, one white and one black.

Shouto Todoroki stared down at the city, the buildings had layered ceramic tiled roofs that he had only seen on his own home or other ancient Japanese architecture. Red flags waved above the town, a symbol of fire in black. He slowly began to walk towards the people.

Mezo Shoji did not wake up by falling or finding himself spontaneously in another city. Instead, he blinked away the red mist from all of his senses only to find himself becoming nauseous as gravity disappeared. His first thought was that maybe Uraraka had tagged him, but that was before he found himself staring out a large window to see a planet in the distance. Stars, more numerous and brighter than he had ever seen in his life, filled the sky and Mezo couldn’t help but stare in awe.

He’d only ever seen a sky like that in pictures, but they were nothing compared to the real thing. Then, a bright flashing light brought his attention to the ships as they seemed to shoot lasers at each other. The gravity in his current ship suddenly turned on, and Mezo fell to the ground with a shudder. There was some kind of blasting and strange snap-hiss sound in the distance along with plenty of yelling, so Mezo picked himself up and decided to chase after the noise.

Yuga Aoyama looked around, taking a moment to bask in the surreality of the sudden change in surrounding buildings and absence of japanese characters. For Yuga, Japanese was always his second language. He was born in France and lived there until his family had been approached by All-For-One while he was in Elementary School.

Thankfully, though learning to read had been a hard learning curve, the spoken language was relatively easy when compared to French. He was easily able to be fluent enough to pass the written test for U.A., so he was pretty happy with it all. However, he had missed his home, the only cultural comfort he could have in Japan was binging on French food. So, suddenly finding himself in Paris was both a curse (were his friends okay?) and a blessing (he wasn’t lost in unknown territory). He had just enough time to process the familiar sound of an explosion before a teen in a black catsuit barrelled into him from behind, knocking them both to the ground.

Tsuyu Asui wondered at her luck when she blinked away the red from her vision to find herself underwater. She accidentally breathed some in, and barely managed to stop herself from coughing knowing that currently would make her breathing problem harder. She excelled in the water, but she didn’t have gills. Keeping a calm mind despite the harsh burning in her chest, she oriented herself and shot up out of the water. As soon as her head broke above the waves, she coughed out the water harshly. Thankfully, it tasted like freshwater. Seawater or freshwater really didn’t make a difference to her, unlike a real frog, but she preferred freshwater. Seawater tasted awful.

She noticed a fairly large city on the shore, and lowered her goggles over her eyes. Tsuyu ducked underwater and swam quickly towards the shore, moving as quickly as a speed boat. She noticed how all the ships she swam past had English names, and was silently grateful that she had done pretty good in English class. Quickly, she reached the edge of the lake and climbed up the stone wall separating the walkway from the water. On the other side of the wall, a man was sitting on a bench with a notebook, looking at her with wide eyes.

“Excuse me,” she called out.

“You’re not supposed to be here,” he replied, glancing down at his notes and flipping through them like he was trying to find something. “I didn’t create you.” Tsuyu lifted her hands to their more comfortable position in front of her and tilted her head, feeling like she had to apologize, but she had no idea why.

“My name is Froppy: The Rainy Day Hero. I’m a hero-in-training, from Japan. What’s your name?” She asked, the basic English introduction from first semester rolling off her tongue.

“A hero-in-training? This’ll be interesting, I think,” he said, smiling at her, “You can call me Chuck.”

Notes:

I do have a full list of characters and crossovers planned, though if you have an idea feel free to comment, I might be willing to change destinations if I like a proposed idea more than what I already have. Tags will update as chapters are added and destinations are revealed.

Updates are when I feel like it. I’m working on this fic almost daily, so probably every two-ish weeks for updates. Chapters will greatly vary in length, and so will the individual story arcs. Bakugou’s is already 18 pages, yeesh. Also, Shinsou was added to class 1-A at some point and I know that Snipe is the homeroom teacher for 3-A normally, but he was out sick today and Aizawa expelled his class this year so he’s subbing.

Looking for a Beta for this. Any volunteers?
