shikanoin heizou was rather stressed.
his friend had become an on-the-run wanted criminal not too long ago, and was nowhere to be found. heizou had already figured that kazuha had fled inazuma, but he had no idea if the anemo user was safe or not.
“archons, you at least could’ve said goodbye.” the detective sighed, leaning against the wall as he looked up at the darkening sky. police staff were swapping shifts, and others were providing help for some citizens, so it was rather quiet.
well.. that was until he heard a low sigh and a few footsteps above him.
“you know why i couldn’t say goodbye.” said a familiar voice, followed by a small thump and the sound of the wind. heizou, a bit surprised, was pinned to the wall of the police station, kazuha staring straight at him when he lifted his face.
the detective’s breath hitched. “kazu..ha..”
that hitched breath taken away rather quickly when kazuha leaned in and kissed heizou, the detective’s hands moving to embrace kazuha with both surprise and desperation.
they both deepened the kiss, heizou bit the other man's lip lightly, a small tinge of blood now mixing into the exchanging saliva.
soon enough, kazuha pulled away, giving a small smile to the other. “good evening, detective heizou. long time no see, hm?”
“kazuha.. what was that for? and why are you even here??” heizou immediately asked, still catching his breath and pulling away from kazuha, a confused and angry expression appearing on his face, accompanying the blush on his cheeks and small trail of saliva right under his lips.
“well, i’m here to indulge a bit in the war, though i’m with captain beidou and her crew now.” kazuha explained briefly, a chuckle leaving his mouth as soon as he looked at heizou.
the detective sighed. “and why’d you.. kiss me all of a sudden? we’re only friends.. at the police station too.. anyone could come and check on me at any time!”
“heizou. i kissed you because i want to be more than.. only friends.” kazuha said, getting a bit closer to heizou. “and.. i thought you liked the kiss?”
heizou blushed, looking away. “i could arrest you right now, y’know.”
“looking like that? you won’t.” the man smiled ruffling the other’s hair a bit and planting a kiss on his forehead. “i’ll come back when those wanted posters disappear. we can discuss this more then.”
“wait! kazuh–” heizou called out, but shut up when kazuha jumped over the tall fence with the help of his anemo, a few leaves flowing back down to the ground when the wind dissipated.
he sighed, dropping to the ground as soon as he leaned back against the wall. “idiot took my first kiss.” he muttered. “and probably knew he did.”
