Hello There!
Thank you to everyone who is reading. I would like to say a few things before the story starts to clear some things up. Firstly, the story will follow the Jedi Knight storyline but will also feature plenty of original characters and a special storyline about the origins of the Knight that will slowly be revealed throughout the story.
I understand some things will not flow properly and if so, please write a review telling me so and I will make sure to go back and update/improve chapters to try and make sure everything works well together.
Please if you have any questions or comments, please leave a review as I will read every one of them.

Chapter 1 – Darkness on Tython
Tython.
The blue and green planet stood distinguished against the endless void of space. Even from millions of klicks away the beauty and tranquillity of the planet acted as a beacon of safety for anybody.
Then almost as if it appeared from nowhere, a vessel of incredible size began to approach the beautiful world. The large, rounded vessel was a unique shape to say the least. The main hull acted as a very oval shape with a large triangular like shape jutting out from the bottom of the vessel. On this triangular shape featured three large engines and multiple small ones to coincide with them. Then multiple other ships would also join alongside this vessel. Two more ships of the same model would appear at its side whilst multiple tiny snub fighters would begin manoeuvring around the gigantic ships.
A shuttle shot out of the hanger of the Valor class capital ship and immediately would turn and began its long descent and journey towards the blue and green planet ahead of it. The shuttle kept its course as fighter squadrons would fly past it and the rest of the defensive fleet would keep its position.
On the inside of the shuttle was a collection of people. Inside of the cockpit sat two pilots in the flight chairs, sporting classic Republic flight uniforms. Stood behind them was someone else, a figure of authority it seemed due to his slick back hair and his collared neatly organised uniform.
‘’We’re approaching Tython, estimated time three minutes and 15 seconds, everybody should prepare for some turbulence.’’ One of the pilots generally stated her eyes not leaving the numerous controls and screens that was on the console in front of her. Her partner was the same. Gripping the main flight controls he did dare take his eyes off of the slowly advancing planet ahead of them all, every now and again flicking a switch on the console.
‘’Very well, I’ll inform them now, just take care.’’ The Republic officer stated as he stepped back and turned around coming to a door. Pushing the button on the console to his left, the door swooshed to the left opening for him to enter the passenger area of the shuttle.
Opening the door, he was greeted with the view of a young human male sitting alone in the entire ship. Sporting a simple and plain set of light brown robes with small white accents, the man sat nervously, his foot tapping on its own as he looked down at the floor of the ship zoning out. Walking towards him he was able to break the man out of his trance as he quickly looked up at the officer to hear what he wanted to say.
‘’I hope you’re ready, we’re approaching Tython now, nothing more to do than just brace for the slight bit of turbulence we’ll experience when entering the atmosphere.’’
‘’Oh ok, thank you officer’’ the officer could tell that this kid was not older than 20, he had very thick deep brown hair and featured little facial hair and barely any stubble at all. He had no scars or anything which surprised the officer. When hearing about the many stories of the jedi, many officers in the Republic would expect something... more. He wasn’t dressed in anything special either, just a plain set of grey simple robes with slight white lines breaking apart the very dull look.
Taking a seat opposite the jedi, the officer strapped himself in as the ship started to bump and shake ever so slightly. The turbulence didn’t last long however and soon the shipped stopped shaking and the officer unfastened himself and stood next to the shuttle ramp.
The jedi suddenly felt a calmness take over him like all his troubles just washed away. The fear and anxiety he felt just disappeared and in this new confidence he unfastened his belt and stood up next to the officer.
‘’You nervous kid?’’
‘’I was, but now it's like all of that just went away. I am ready to face these new challenges.’’ The Jedi stated as he reached and grabbed his trusty training saber from the rack next to the ramp as he looked it up and down before attaching it to its holster on the Jedi’s back.
‘’I’m sure you are, who knows maybe I’ll see you on the battlefield one day and you can show me just how much you’ve learnt.’’ The jedi chuckled at this and looked up at the officer. He was not a young man, clearly in his forties yet the multiple lines on his face made him look older, but nowadays everybody is stressed and that does truly little good for somebodies looks.
‘’It’s been a pleasure having you on board the Defender kid, me and the crew will miss you.’’ The officer placed his hand onto the shoulder of the jedi reassuring him.
‘’I do hope that this won’t be the last time we see each other sir.’’ The ship then did a quick shake as the two of them regained their balance before the shuttle shook for a final time and the landing ramp began to descend.
Watching as the ramp finished descending, the jedi began his journey down the ramp before getting halfway and turning back around to the officer. Nodding to each other, the jedi continued his journey down the ramp before arriving at the landing pad.
The Jedi looked around, the place he was at, it was already so different to Uthol. The grass felt alive, the mountains stretched high, and the sky was a clear blue. Everything just felt alive and correct. Taking in a deep breath, he noticed a figure standing above him at the top of the landing pad and so the Jedi continued forwards towards this unnamed figure as the shuttle roared to life and took off back from when it came leaving the jedi in this new life.
Approaching the man, the Jedi could already answer some questions he had. The brown and beige robes the unidentified man wore obviously posed him as a jedi if the lightsaber he wore on his belt didn’t give that away first. The man was clearly young as well, only being around his early thirties and the warm smile he had as the jedi approached him clearly showed him as a friend in this new world.
‘’Welcome to Tython padawan. Everyone in the temple is looking forward to meeting you.’’ The man stated as he looked the jedi up and down, inspecting him before continuing. ‘’My name is Derrin Weller; your former masters praise your combat skills. They say you’re becoming an expert duellist.’’ This surprised the jedi, the masters on Uthol all barely gave him compliments and they would always criticise him in training, whether it was a simple slip up and most of the time they played dirty by knocking him off balance or ganging up on him during training or sometimes whilst he was busy with other things such as meditation.
‘’Thank you, Master, I’m sorry it's just, this is all quite different to Uthol.’’ The Jedi finally spoke up, this all was very new to him and frankly overwhelming, a fact that Weller could see clear as the light side on Tython.
‘’Yes well, you shouldn’t expect that sort of behaviour around here, the masters of Uthol quite frankly disgraced the order by keeping you isolated there for so long and in my opinion it's about damn time you did something instead of being kept inside of a prison cell for a room.’’
The jedi was frankly shocked, nobody had ever spoken about Uthol this way before. In fact, he almost wanted to shut Derrin's mouth right then and there but deep down he knew he was right and Uthol was more of a prison than a temple and now, that was all going to change.
‘’Anyway, enough about that, there's some information you must be made aware of. You’ll spend your first day on Tython going through some basic training. This is just to make sure that you are fully ready and once they are over you shall be assigned a new master by the Jedi Council and from there you will complete your training and soon, you shall be one of the many new Jedi leaving Tython to protect the galaxy from the Sith Empire.’’
‘’Oh, then I suppose there isn’t a moment to spare is there?’’ The jedi replied as all the words spoken by Weller sunk in. He never expected all of this to happen so quickly. On Uthol, everything was planned out just like now, but it was more gradual and The Masters of Uthol preferred to limit the Jedi to only a few hours of time outside of his quarters so for most of the day, the Jedi was stuck in his quarters meditating or preferably goofing around with Kaylis, well until she had to move to Tython that was. The Jedi’s mind drifted for a bit then, he wondered if she was still here. He’d have to remember to try and visit the Temple Archives when he had free time to follow up on that thought.
‘’I can see you are worried, that’s perfectly understandable young one but after your first day here, everything is going to feel like home here.’’ Weller placed his hand on the Jedi’s shoulder, a comforting smile being given to the Jedi as he motioned for the Jedi to follow him as the two walked across the landing platform towards the secondary platform where several Jedi and protocol droids were tending to numerous speeders.
‘’These speeders here will take us down to the training grounds from there I will begin the training with you to make sure you are fully ready for...’’
Weller was cut off as a beeping came from his robe. Reaching inside he pulled out a small holo-communicator and immediately turned it on. Straight away a blude hologram of a Bith student, remarkably similar to the Jedi himself in terms of robes and the training-saber on his back, started to speak.
‘’- under attack, repeat, under attack! Flesh raiders have attacked the training grounds wielding blasters! Send help immediately! Please, help us!’’ The hologram cut out and both Derrin and the Jedi’s faces were filled with fear, but Derrin’s was more of a mix between fear and confusion as he took in what the Bith had said.
‘’Flesh Raiders? Armed with blasters, that =s not possible, he must be mistaken!’’ Weller comprehended as he put the communicator back in his robe as he and the Jedi stood still on the landing platform as the once peaceful atmosphere of Tython was suddenly becoming stale and both Derrin and the Jedi could sense the once undisturbed peace was now shifting ever so closer to pain, fear, and death.
‘’Mistaken? What do you mean?!? You heard the shots and surely you can feel the disturbance this is creating! We need to get down there now!’’
The two of them turned to face the canyon leading to the training grounds and the feeling was unmistakeable. The pain, anger, suffering. It was worse than anything the Jedi had ever felt, and he immediately took off and ran towards the speeders and more of them kept moving through the canyon down to the training fields.
‘’No, wait!!’’ Derrin took off after the Jedi and was able to catch him as the Jedi almost got ran over by a speeder taking off and flying down through the canyon. ‘’You can’t just run into this situation!’’
‘’Why not! They need our help and I'm going to make sure I can help them.’’ The Jedi then stormed towards a speeder before Derrin got in front of him and made him stop.
‘’You must control your emotions! We will help them, but we need to plan ahead.’’
‘’Fine, you do that. Organise getting reinforcements down there but I’m heading down there myself and I’ll make sure to stop the Flesh Raiders from advancing.’’
Derrin looked at the Jedi, determination filled every part of his soul and deep down he knew he was right. This Jedi was an invaluable asset that could save countless lives and needed to be down there helping the training grounds.
‘’Very well, head down there and try to get as many people as possible to our fortified position at the speeder platform, from there we’ll organise a counterattack. But listen to the masters down there and be careful, I’ll contact you when I’m on my way and together we’ll help push them all back. Understood?’’
‘’Yes master, I understand.’’ The Jedi replied contently, as Derrin took a step back from the speeder and in doing so gave the Jedi the permission to get down there and help as many people as he could.’’
‘’May the force be with you, young Jedi.’’
‘’And with you.’’ And with that the Jedi pushed the ignition on the speeder and took off flying through the canyon towards the training grounds as Derrin watched solemnly before taking a deep breath and making his way towards the nearby console.
_________________________________________________________________________________
The Jedi was not used to the controls of the speeder. They were drastically different from the Republic starfighters he got the chance to fly with whilst he was with the crew of the Defender on his journey from Uthol to Tython. Whilst the starfighter was nimbler and more sensitive, the speeder was incredibly less sensitive and whilst it was considerably fast for an atmospheric craft, it wasn’t easy to get to grips with it especially after almost smashing it into the side of the canyon as he made his first turn.
However now the Jedi could see it, the training grounds. A wide-open field of lush green grass surrounded by beautiful mountains that peaked through the clouds. However, as he got closer, the Jedi could make out the finer details of the training grounds. Giant trees were spread throughout seemingly acting as natural borders between the numerous wide-open spaces that the Jedi could only assume was for group lightsaber training. As well as that, wide rock formations acted as natural barriers too and acted as perfect points of unnatural terrain that could prove detrimental in a duel or warzone, like those the galaxy seems to know all too well as of late. What caught the eye of the Jedi most was the numerous seemingly manmade structures that littered the training grounds. Giant, exquisite bridges and altars we dotted throughout the grounds. The Jedi obviously knew of the history that remained of Tython, that how Grandmaster Satele Shan had relocated the planet after the Jedi Temple on Coruscant was destroyed in the last war with the Sith Empire.
It was another fact that astounded the Jedi when he compared Tython to Uthol. He knew that an ancient group of Jedi, maybe the first ever Jedi lived on Tython which explains the multiple ruins on the planet. But the fact was that Uthol was not like that at all. There were no ruins, not ancient samples of lost civilisations. All there was, was the Jedi Enclave located in the middle of an empty field of purple dying grass and eroded decaying stone.
Just as he was admiring the beauty of the planet, he was brought back to reality as a stray blaster bolt hit the front hood of his speeder and immediately, he took evasive manoeuvres, and he quickly surveyed the battlefield before him.
Just like Master Weller had said, the jedi had fortified themselves at the speeder landing pad and numerous jedi with their blue and green lightsabers stood guarding the entrance to the platform as hundreds of blasters shots we reflected and deflected against the battle line of Flesh Raiders.
Pushing down on the controls, the Jedi brought the speeder to an abrupt halt on platform, crashing it enough that it completely wrecked the engines of another speeder making it as useless as a taun-taun is at flying.
Jumping out the Jedi ran to a nearby wall where a medical droid was tending to a jedi trainee. It was here that the Jedi became aware of just what kind of situation he was in. Looked over the wall he saw a thick line of Flesh Raiders just openly standing in the open field continually firing upon the Jedi position. As Jedi Knights and Masters deflected continuous blaster fire back at the enemy line slowly but surely picking each one of them off as the line began to dwindle.
Thinking through the situation, the jedi understood some basic information that was useful to their predicament. Firstly, the Flesh Raiders, whilst armed with blasters were not as smart as even the most basic Republic soldier and so could most likely be put into a retreat if only a few of them gave into fear of death. Secondly, the many Knights and Masters were holding them at bay and even helping win this battle of attrition they were all in, however depending on how many troops the Flesh Raiders have, they might be able to overpower the Jedi if they truly devoted to this attack.
Suddenly, the Jedi’s senses kicked in and he became acutely aware of a gathering of Jedi trainees led by what looked like two Jedi Knights on the far east side of the platform. Standing up, the Jedi raced over, just barely dodging a blaster bolt that came straight for his head, but eventually he made it to the gathering as the group began to start moving.
‘’Excuse me! Master Jedi!’’
‘’Padawan? Are you ok, what's wrong?’’ replied one of the two knights. He was blonde with two thin mutton chops growing on the side of his face. He wore very traditional light brown robes with a dark red tint to the outline of the robes and he was clutching his lightsaber tightly as he spoke making sure to stay low.
‘’Nothing Master, I sensed you were going into the battlefield to do something, I want to come and help you!’’
‘’Are you sure? This is a very difficult task and were only asking Padawans because there are too little experienced Jedi to accomplish this task.’’ The other knight was a female, and more than that she was a Rodian. Like her male counterpart she wore traditional robes but hers complimented her light blue, almost reflective skin. Her robes were a pleasant mix of dark and light greens mixed with a small tint of dark brown and hers were much longer than the males as the back of them reached down to her knees.
‘’Please, let me help you. You’re obviously going to need all the help you can get out there!’’
The two knights looked at each other contemplating the severity of the situation before the female Rodian spoke up.
‘’Fine, join the group and stay together, when we reach our destination, we’ll tell you what we need from you, now we need to get moving before it's too late.’’
With that the three of them moved to the nearby wall of the platform and carefully dropped below onto the soft grass. The three then moved up to join the group of other Jedi Padawans that had been waiting behind a think group of trees just barely getting a glimpse at the line battle between the Jedi and Flesh Raiders.
The entire group then continued forward as the Jedi stuck near the rear of the group next to the blonde male Jedi whilst the female Rodian moved up to the front and lead the group as they carefully navigated the edges of the battlefield making use of the large rock formations and thick trees as cover from the Flesh Raiders.
As they moved, the Jedi noticed the group was significantly large and had to include almost twenty different jedi in total. This made him think, if they were planning to attack the Flesh Raider line from behind, this is too little of a group to make a large enough dent as the density of the Flesh Raiders battle line would surely be able to shoot them all down before they could get close, and the lack of cover would make this a suicide mission. Suddenly the Jedi was taken out of his thoughts as the blonde Jedi spoke up,
‘’We’re trying to flank the enemy camps.’’
‘’What?’’ The Jedi responded mainly out of confusion as he wasn’t properly focused on what the blonde Jedi was saying.
‘’The Flesh Raiders, they sent up a number of camps that sort of act as checkpoints to their reinforcements, it allows them to stay co-ordinated hence why we can’t seem to whittle down their numbers enough. But if we can destroy enough of these camps and break the path they’ve created with them, we might be able to cause their reinforcements to scatter and allow our Knights and Masters to...’’
‘’...To break their forward line and begin to pick off the smaller groups.’’ The Jedi interjected as he began to understand the plan that they were suggesting. ‘’Will it really work?’’
‘’Not sure, but it’s the best chance we got’’
The group then came to a halt behind a much larger rock formation, and everyone began to huddle together as the plan was explained.
‘’Everyone will need to split off into groups to take down the camps, most of them are simple checkpoints, should only have a few Flesh Raiders tops. Remember to use stealth and surprise to your advantage, you’re going to need it.’’ the Rodian explained as the group began to split into teams of three and four and immediately began to spread out into multiple directions.
‘’Alright Sorz, you ready for a challenge?’’ the Rodian continued as she unbuckled her lightsaber from her belt and as the blonde Jedi, now known as Sorz moved next to her.
‘’As ready as I’ll ever be to take on a bunch of rabid monsters, just don't slow me down Prilgi, I’d hate to have to focus on you for the whole battle, again.’’ Sorz and Prilgi both looked at each other with smug looks before they turned back and started to get moving again.
‘’I’m coming with you.’’ A sudden voice rang out to the two of them as they looked back to be reminded of the Jedi kneeling but ready to go with them.
‘’No, no, no, absolutely not!’’ Prilgi spoke out as she moved back to the Jedi. ‘’We are about to attack their primary checkpoint; this will have more Flesh Raiders there than any of the other checkpoints combined.’’
‘’Then you’ll need my help!’’
‘’No, go and help one of the other groups, you aren’t ready for this!’’ Prilgi finished as she turned away and he and Sorz quickly ran through the fields before ducking under a bridge.
With that the Jedi sat by the rock formation annoyed. He didn’t think it would be like this on Tython. He thought he would get a voice and independence fir his own actions for the first time in all his life. With that he g=began to bubble with anger as he slammed the ground with his fist.
‘’Dammit!’’ As he sat there, contemplating it all he thought about listening to Prilgi and going to help another group, but it was there he saw it. By the bridge Sorz and Prilgi passed under now stood a group of around ten Flesh Raiders all wielding carbines and heavy blasters.
Quickly rushing behind a tree to avoid being seen he carefully looked back to see the group, obviously a hunting party of sorts begin to run under the bridge following the same path as Sorz and Prilgi.
‘’Oh no.’’
Instinctively, the Jedi took off after them following the same path as the hunting party as he followed the trail they left in the grass from their heavy steps he soon began to hear conflict. Blaster shots being fired. The sound of a lightsaber cutting through flesh with ease. The whir of a lightsaber as it spun effortlessly through the air in the hands of a Master. Then a shot. A shot from obviously some sort of heavy blaster and the heavy crumple of a body and a lightsaber turning off.
Speeding up the Jedi toom cover behind an ancient ruin wall and carefully turning the corner he saw what he dreaded most. There was Sorz lightsaber in hand as he stood opposing the group of around eight that remained from the hunting party. Sorz was clearly injured. He had a slight wobble to his stance and soon the Jedi saw the gash just above his knee.
What was worse was that the Jedi could barely make out a body behind Sorz. Despite how difficult it was they instinctively knew, Prilgi. Her body was crumped as smoke came from what was maybe her shoulder and just barely in her hand was her silver and metallic blue lightsaber.
The hunting party began to close around Sorz and already the pressure was building as his wound began to cause him to wobble more and more.
The party raised their blasters. Is this how it would end? Being surprised by a group of Flesh Raider hunters who were able to get a lucky shot on his leg?
Prilgi had already been knocked down and Sorz knew he would be alone in finishing this fight. His leg began to topple and Sorz fell onto one knee as he raised his lightsaber up high as he possibly could to defend himself as sweat poured. This was the end.
Sorz began to close his eyes and start to let go and accept what would happen here but as he did, a sudden slashing sound and a heavy thud woke him up as he stared at the party leader now fallen to the side on his face, now brandishing a lightweight blade from his skull. A specific type of blade in particular. A padawan training blade!
With that the Jedi jumped from the top of the ancient wall as he landed on top of one of the larger Flesh raiders and so throwing him to the ground. Confused the Flesh Raiders turned to face the Jedi only for a lightsaber to cut right through three more of them as their bodies split in half and Sorz stood as best he could lightsaber held high.
It didn’t last long, however. Quickly being tackled he was pushed to the ground before being picked up and thrown into a nearby empty supply crate and so toppling it all over. The flesh raider than moved towards Sorz’s now unconscious body and snatching a small blaster pistol from one of the dead bodies around him he moved ever closer.
All the while, the Jedi now faced two other Flesh Raiders, both armed with repeating carbines pointed straight at his skull. Taking a step back he realised that he was cornered. This left very little for him to work with, but he saw his opportunity. His training saber lodged in the skull of the leader of the party was just a few steps away, with the only problem being getting behind the rest of the party.
The two Raiders were aimed directly on his forehead and there was maybe only one thing he could do. Biding his time, he waited for the Raiders to shoot. Time seemed to slow to the millisecond for him as every little detail all became so clear to him. Sorz was about to get shot, Prilgi was shot and needed help stat and he only had a split-second chance to pull off this move he was planning.
The two Raiders both took their shots, the two of them pulling their triggers at the same time almost simultaneously and with this, the Jedi took his opportunity. Using all he could of the force he forced his blasters up causing the blaster bolts to miss the Jedi and fly into the air. Using this the Jedi rushed the two of them and whilst they recovered quickly, he jumped and grabbed onto the thick fleshy arm of the one to his left and lifted himself up just enough so that he could deliver a powerful kick to the eye of the one to his right.
Knocking him down, the Jedi roughly landed next to the leaders' body but before he could act the remaining Flesh Raider had grabbed him and lifted him up into the air by his neck and started to choke him to death. The incredible strength of the flesh raider was making quick progress and all the jedi could do was struggle and writhe against his thick, fleshy arms. Bashing them with all the strength he had he failed to try and get the Raider to drop him. Quickly running out of time, the Jedi used all the strength he could muster and used what little of the force he could to reach and pull his saber to him. Pulling the blade from the corpse it landed softly in his hand and in one swift motion activated it and stabbed it through the heart of the Raider.
The Raider screamed a sound that felt like it should never have existed and dropped him. Staggering back, the Jedi dropped to his knees as he coughed and watched as the Raider fell backwards joining the pile of corpses that was building up at this camp. Trying to breathe normally the Jedi took long, deep breaths and luckily narrowly dodged a blow to the head as the Flesh Raider he kicked in the eye attempted to rip his head off. Jumping to his feet his quickly dodged another blow to the head and then jumped in the air and kicked the Raider in the stomach pushing him back a couple of metres across the grass. Leaving not a moment to keep the fight going longer, the Jedi rushed the raider and as the raider attempted to grab his face, he slid underneath the arm and at the same time sliced off the raiders left leg causing them to howl in pain as they feel lopsided. Leaving not a moment to wait the Jedi spun around and followed up his previous movement by following through and cutting the Raiders head clean off.
The lifeless corpse fell to the ground and the head splattered by the campfire as the Jedi tried to catch a well needed breather, he became acutely aware of blaster shots aimed straight for him. Instinctively dodging he realised the Raider that tried to kill Sorz had changed his target to the Jedi and was attempting to blast him before he could get close.
Sliding and constantly moving towards the side the Jedi dodged shot after shot and was able to slide behind the ruined wall by the camp as the last Raider stood still and waited. Tensions flared as the two opponents stood in a sort of stalemate. The jedi, refusing to leave his cover, and the Raider refusing to give up the advantage of their distance. As the stalemate continued, the Raider got confused, was the Jedi even there? Moving to there right they attempted to try and look behind the wall only for one of the nearby empty crates to their right to come flying at them hitting them directly and causing them to drop their blaster. In this brief moment which could only have been a second or two, the Jedi bolted and left their cover. Immediately the Raider tried to grab their blaster and as they fumbled were finally able to raise it high and point it at the Jedi but not before the saber spun effortlessly in their grip and slicing through the raiders hand before following through with a clean cut throughout the body and slicing through the Raiders head.
The final body fell to the ground and finally all that could be heard was silence. The Jedi collapsed onto one knee as he dropped his saber and began to breathe heavily in exhaustion and relief. His hair was messier due to this fight as the extreme amount of sweat caused his hair to moisten and flatten and stick to his head. As he looked over the battlefield that he had just fought one hell of a tough fight in he noticed the crate that Sorz had been thrown into and immediately he got up and rushed over to Sorz.
Sorz was just barely coming back into consciousness by the time the Jedi had pulled him up and was checking his wound just above his knee. The wound wasn’t the worst, it didn’t go fully deep, but it was in a bad enough condition that Sorz would need an immediate bacta tank.
‘’Hey, hey watch it. You’ll only make it worse like that...’’ Sorz tried to start before he was forced to hold in a gasp of pain as he attempted to stand.
‘’Hold on a minute, stay there! You can’t go anywhere with that kind of injury; I'll have to call you an emergency pickup. Hopefully, the rest of the group can come get us.’’ The jedi said as he grabbed Sorz’s communicator that was attached to his belt and started sending a coded message. ‘’Oh, and a thank you would be appreciated’’ the Jedi continued smugly as Sorz began to realise just how much damage the Jedi had done alone. The camp was littered with bodies of Raiders and as Sorz overlooked the hunting party that had surprised him, he saw just how talented of a padawan the Jedi was. It was as he was surveying the battlefield, he was drawn to Prilgi and Sorz immediately tried to stand only to collapse face first onto the grass.
‘’Ah! Son of a bantha!’’
‘’Hey, hold on. I'll go check on her, take it easy please.’’ With that the Jedi walked to Prilgi’s body and Sorz was able to grab onto a nearby crate and lift himself up onto it as he watched over Prilgi from a distance as the Jedi made it to her body and turned her over, trying to assess the wounds.
It didn’t take long as the Jedi looked the body over, up, and down to realise how severe this all was. Quickly he reactivated the holocommunictor to send another urgent message requiring medical attention for both Sorz and Prilgi but it was as he was sending the message the communicator picked up a transmission and instantaneously the image of Derrin Weller appeared, clutching his left leg. His face obviously strained as he held some sort of wound.
‘’You’re unharmed – good.’’ Weller started as he flinched and tightened the wound on his leg before looking back up to the Jedi. ‘’I was worried about finding you, but I was told you apparently went with a group of padawans into the training fields, what are you doing out there?’’
‘’I’m sorry Master, but I joined a strike team, and we just went about and destroyed numerous Flesh Raider checkpoints, it should disorganise the reinforcements pushing the speeder pad.’’ The jedi replied, kneeling down as Sorz limped his way over to him, using a large rifle as a makeshift crutch.
‘’I suppose that was a smart plan but- ahh!’’
‘’Master Weller, what happened?’’
‘’It’s nothing to worry about, Flesh Raider shot me in the leg as I was rescuing some padawans. Don’t know where these things got blasters, but they know how to use them.’’
‘’I know that Master Weller, I’ve got two jedi here in urgent need of a medical evacuation. They can’t move and we’re held up at one of the larger Flesh Raider checkpoints.’’
‘’Understood. I’m, being evacuated to a medcenter, but I’ll get a team down there to get them out before.’’
With that the Jedi sighed a sigh of relief as he looked at Sorz who himself relaxed upon hearing this as he switched his attention to Prilgi, lowering himself down next to her and bringing her closer to him.
‘’But the fighting isn’t over.’’ Weller continued as they spiked up to listen to what else he had to tell them. ‘’
‘’How are our reinforcements coming Master?’’
‘’Slowly making progress, the Raiders collapsed many routes into the training grounds and the Jedi Council are stretched thin trying to open up a route to reinforce. But we won’t be able to properly be secure the grounds if we don’t stop them at the source!’’
A medical droid entered the hologram and sat Weller down as the droid began to inspect and tend to the injured leg. Weller began to flinch more and wince at the pain but quickly managed to recompose himself as he continued to the Jedi.
‘’Another padawan found a cave tunnel that the Flesh Raiders are using to enter the valley. Even with their checkpoints gone they can still spread far and wide and make the grounds an inhospitable place for us. I need you at that tunnel now. You have to help stop any more Flesh Raiders from entering the valley so we can handle those already in it!’’
The jedi became slightly conflicted, he looked at the two weakened knights, neither one able to fight off an attacker should they be found but stop the Raiders at the source would save everybody in the valley. Sorz could clearly see this conflict in the Jedi’s face and knowing what was at stake, had to act.
‘’Go, we’ll be fine. This is more important.’’ The Jedi looked and for a moment contemplated some more before pushing a slight smirk out and turning back to Weller.
‘’Alright, I’ll head there straight away, just send me the location.’’
‘’It’s already been transmitted to this communicator, good luck and may the force be with you!’’
With that the image of Derrin Weller cut off and was replaced by a bird's eye view of the layout of the training fields. Immediately a route began to dot itself as it showed a large cave opening jutting out of a mountain by a large river. Placing the communicator on his belt, the Jedi turned back to Sorz, now cradling Prilgi’s head on his lap as he looked up and gave a look of reassurance, motioning with his head to get going.
No words being spoken, and the Jedi took off, immediately force pulling his saber to him as he ran past and quickly holstering it to his back as he disappeared through the trees.
