It is a dark era for the Jedi Order.
Many of the Republic’s bravest were massacred in the twilight hours of the GREAT GALACTIC WAR—a terrible conflict between the resurfaced Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic.
At the end of the three-decade long War, the Sith Empire DECIEVED the exhausted Republic with faked peace talks, instead launching a desperate invasion upon the Republic capital of Coruscant.
In the aftermath of the event, all surviving Jedi were shunned by the Republic, blamed for the loss of life, and led by Jedi Knight SATELE SHAN into exodus. This lead to her rediscovering the Jedi's ancient birthplace, TYTHON.

Now, years later he has lived and grown in the force until becoming a padawan and finishing all but the last trial to jedi knighthood. And just as his master, Orgus Din, prepares to send him on his final test, the force brings the test to him - revealing that the Empire has found them.
Now, there is a corruption of the force spreading through the jedi ranks. The emperor is nowhere to be found, but Kaze sees him in his dreams. He knows, as Master Orgus sensed, that somehow the emperor is responsible and his power is growing. They must find the answer to corruption and stop it. To do that, they might have to face the emperor himself.

But there are new threats lurking in the dark corners of the galaxy. Dark Cults and forgotten Empires, no longer bound by the machinations of the Dark Lord of the Sith, emerge to threaten all life in the Galaxy once more.
As the threat of destruction by insane cultists and unstoppable armadas intensifies, another, far older power has awakened, and it seeks not to conquer or destroy, but to reshape the very fabric of the galaxy itself, and bring all of creation under one mind, one will.
Can Lu'minous and her friends fight these encroaching evils? How can they fight that which can manipulate their very beings? Are Lu and Kira finally going to get married? Will the Author be able to produce chapters on a consistent schedule for once?!

Summary
Force-sensitive Chiss were rare, only a few were born every generation. They were viewed as impure, tainted, an abomination. Force sensitivity in the Ascendancy was a mark of shame upon the Chiss and their house. If not executed, they were exiled. They were the lucky ones. Most exiles are picked up by the Sith Empire and put through the Sith Academy. Others disappear to live simple, everyday lives. Even more rarely, they become a Jedi.
