Sometimes while lying in bed with you, Morgott tends to let his mind drift and it often takes him to unpleasant places.
His life was filled with hardships, as being born an Omen comes with many things that people tend to villainize, while he hadn't done anything to make him appear evil.
When his mind did wander, it would always lead to questions as to how you came to love him.
He loves you with every bone in his body, and he can't understand why you love him so much. He only knew one-sided care and comfort and that came with his duty to protect the Erdtree. His goal that he imposed upon himself that he does out of his own selflessness.
But he never had anyone to love him in return, and now he does and it confuses him.
While you curled into him as you slept, he had his arms around you, but he was too afraid to wrap around you completely, as he believed you would shatter before him.
He could barely comprehend how someone as fragile and beautiful as you came to love someone as giant and horrid as him.
At least, that's what he thinks.
But he was stirred out of his own thoughts as to hear you mumble in your peaceful slumber; his ear flicking as a result, perhaps to maybe hear what you're saying.
All he could hear was soft, incoherent murmurs from you while you dreamed, and his expression softened at the sight.
"...Mm...orgott..." You said in a hushed tone, and his ears perked at hearing his name.
He maneuvered his forehead to barely touch yours so that he could hear more of what you were saying.
"...L...love you..."
And with saying that involuntarily, you moved your arms in a stretching motion, and landing your arms to wrap around his neck, pulling him close to you as you slept.
He was so happy and scared at the same time that it boggled his mind. He felt his heart pounding and his face warm up at hearing you say that, even while sleeping. You said it often, yes, but hearing it while you were drifting off was different.
His fear of hurting you had rushed in, but he decided to fight the fear by gently moving his arms around you to wrap you in his embrace.
You smiled at that, and sighed contently in your slumber at feeling his warmth so close to you.
And he too, in that moment, smiled as well. For your warmth was so welcome as he then drifted off as well.
Sleeping peacefully knowing that he loved you, and you loved him in return.
