"You're lucky you're pretty," Jim grins, standing in front of Olu in only a loose white shirt.
"Mmm, I am pretty, aren't I."
"Almost makes up for you being so mouthy all the time." Jim moves towards Olu one slow step at a time, dragging their bare feet against the wooden floor. Olu's skin feels electric, unbearably desperate to be touched. Part of him wants to squirm, to touch himself, or to break the spell by reaching out and pulling Jim--finally available, finally here--into a kiss. But he doesn't. Because he knows that he will not be spending tonight alone in a shell of a room, homesick and frustrated. He knows Jim has already said yes, already come back, taken him up on his offer. I could be family. Olu has reached out to Jim so many times and he's going to enjoy every second of Jim walking towards him, reaching out to him. Feet rooted to the spot, hands digging into the sheets of their bed, Olu feels like a rock, waiting for Jim to crash against him.
