Chapter Text
When Eki first met Akarino, it was purely by accident. After all, he rarely comes out with how Ike subconsciously chains him in and keeps him locked out. So imagine his confusion when Eki bumps into someone and hears a whimper of pain.
Eki looks down to see Shu on the floor, rubbing his back in pain. Upon closer inspection, Eki realises this isn't Shu Yamino that he mostly sees through Ike's sight.
This Shu has silver hair that reminds him of the moonlight, his eyes, the same shade as his hair glistens with tears that it reminds Eki of crystals, "Ow..." The Silver Shu whispers and Eki can't help but be entranced by his voice, how soft it was, how angelic it was, how incredibly innocent it was.
He wants to taint it red. This Shu would seem incredibly delectable in red.
Glittering silver eyes snap towards dulled gold ones and Silver Shu lets out a small shriek, scrambling himself to stand before falling once more on butt. Eki covers his mouth to hide a laugh, ignoring how the other shot him a look of confusion.
"Oh dear, I must apologise. It's my first time venturing around the house." Eki says with a sweet smile, a hand out to help the fallen man, "I assume you’re one of the people living here as well?”
Silver Shu doesn't say anything but looks at him then his hand, before slowly taking the hand in caution. Eki tries not to think how cold he was through his gloves as he helped the sorcerer up.
"Before we go any further, may I know your name?" Eki boldly kisses the back of Silver Shu's hand, hiding a smirk at how the sorcerer’s cheeks turned red.
And thus, this is how he met Shu Akarino.
—
Akarino’s world is nothing but white. That is until he met Eki Eve-, Eki, who has now painted the silver sorcerer’s world to an incredibly pretty shade of red. Surprisingly, not out of blood, but of red poppies and roses.
“It’s a good thing you’re here with me.” Eki gives him a small smile, and Akarino feels his heart flip at the notion, “I would be incredibly lost without your guidance.”
The sound of leaves makes a beautiful melody as they continue to walk.
“Here you go, Shu Akarino. Out of Ike Eveland’s pocket is a present from me to you: a bouquet of red poppies and roses. For you to remember me by.”
Akarino can only give him a smile as a thank you.
The silver sorcerer waits eagerly for his new friend to come spend time with him once more. It feels new, exciting, he can’t wait for Eki to come back, even if it will take time. Akarino will wait patiently for him.
Hopefully Yamino would let him come out again; if he asked nicely of course.
