What an…interesting Wintershock. Using the trope of one of them being scared to say their soulmate words (in this case, Bucky, because he doesn’t believe he deserves a soulmate), this story is…a little unschooled..? All the important parts are there—humorous team interactions, Cap’s Eyebrows Of Disappointment, Nat knowing everything without ever being told, Sam being sassy but wise, Tony trying to be an ass—and Darcy seemingly not noticing that Bucky never speaks to her (spoiler: she actually does notice)…the writing is a wee bit naive, maybe? Yet, it all *works* beautifully. Bonus points for Bucky communicating with Darcy with complete clarity, even if he refuses to talk to her.
