Chapter Text
A life with Jumin Han was sure to be busy and agitated, contrasting with his well collected and calm nature. You knew this, as you had been married to him for a year now. It never ceased to surprise you, but it was wonderful nonetheless. Right now, however, was one of those moments in which you were astonished, even when you felt you shouldn't be. You and Jumin had just arrived to Paris, and after such a long flight you both wanted to make it to the hotel as soon as possible. A crowd of reporters -and even paparazzi (?)- was waiting for you just outside the airport, though. Jumin was holding your hand tightly as you tried to walk down the narrow path the security guards were able to make for you in between crowd. With tons of cameras going off in your direction, people screaming right and left, and microphones being held excessively close to you, you were reminded of the day you and your husband had returned from your honeymoon. This moment was almost an exact replica of that day, and just like back then, you started to feel overwhelmed.
When Jumin felt your grasp tighten around his hand he glanced at you, concerned. He knew you weren't comfortable with this much exposure, specially when even the littlest things you enjoyed together became a major scoop for tabloids all around the world.
"Don't worry, my love." He whispered gently into your ear. "We're a few steps away from the limousine."
The bodyguards kept pushing people back to make sure you and Jumin could have enough space to walk comfortably. A few seconds later -which felt like an eternity-, you finally make it through the crowd. Quickly, the bodyguards escorted you and Jumin into the limousine, you eagerly got inside. The door closed behind Jumin and the limousine started moving, leaving the crowd and the noise behind. You sighed, enjoying the silence inside the limo.
“Are you alright, love?” Jumin asked, failing to disguise his worry.
“I’m alright, darling.” You assured. “I’m just... not used to all of this yet. I’m sorry.”
“There’s nothing you should apologise for,” His warm hand cupped your cheek and he smiled lovingly. “I know it can be troublesome. Let me spoil you when we get at the hotel so you can relax, my princess.” Jumin leaned in and kissed your lips tenderly.
Then, one of his arms wrapped around your waist and scooted you closer to him. You complied and ended up against his chest, you could hear his steady heartbeat. The rest of the ride was silent, you decided to take a small nap meanwhile. Jumin was caressing your hair as he watched you sleep besides him, thinking of how lucky he was to have such a wonderful woman by his side. You've gone through many things together, and he's grateful he has you by your side despite the situation.
After 30 minutes, you arrive at the Shangri-La Hotel. Jumin didn't want to wake you up but he knew you'd be better asleep in the comfy bed at your suite than in the limo. He picked you up as gently as he could as to not wake you up and stepped outside the limo with you in his arms. Even as he tried to be as careful as he could be, he couldn't help but kiss your forehead. He was absolutely enraptured by the sight of you sleeping. You felt his lips on your forehead and open your eyes slowly, meeting his.
"This is the best way a woman can be woken up." You chuckled and wrapped your arms around his neck.
"I couldn't help myself, seeing my beautiful princess asleep in my arms." He admitted, planting yet another kiss in your forehead.
"Jumin!" A giggle escaped your lips as he peppered you with kisses. "I can walk on my own, babe. It's alright."
"Look where we are, honey." He pointed at the hotel, the architecture style resembled one of a palace. "This used to be the residence of a prince, dearest. And since we will be staying here, I might as well treat you like royalty."
You blushed at his words, knowing that despite your efforts, Jumin wouldn't give in. Not that you minded though. And so, Jumin and you made your way to the suite that he had reserved at the luxurious Shangri-La Hotel. You were only allowed to stand on your feet again when Jumin had to open the door to your suite.
"Welcome to Pairs, ma chérie."
"Merci, mon amour." You replied as he swung the door open for you.
As you stepped inside the suite you couldn't believe your eyes. You were expecting something fancy, but this was a whole new level. The duplex suite was large enough to be considered an apartment, the master bedroom was huge, it had a living room and a beautiful terrace from where you could see the Eiffel Tower and the Seine; Jumin didn't lie when he said he'd treat you like royalty.
"Honey I... wow." You struggled to find the words to describe the magnificence of the suite. "This is wonderful!"
"I'm so glad you like it, I booked this room thinking of how you'd enjoy the view and the commodities, darling"
"You spoil me, Jumin!" You felt a blush creep up your cheeks yet again.
"You are worth it, dearest." He replied. "Now, I assumed you'd be sore from the long flight so I ordered the maid to have the bathtub ready for us both for when we arrived. Mind joining me, honey?"
He didn't wait for a response and started to undo his tie, then helped you out of your coat and blouse, placing kisses on your collarbone and jawline. You also helped him out of his clothes and when you both were naked, you walked together to the bathroom. It was made of marble and illuminated by candles. Just as Jumin had mentioned, the bathub was prepared for both of you and judging by the smell of it, it was scented with lavender. Jumin stepped inside first and when he had settled, you went in too, sitting in the gap between his legs. Your back was against his torso and he wrapped his arms around your waist. Soaking in the warm water was truly relaxing.
"I'm so lucky to have you, y/n." He said in a soft voice. "What did I ever do to deserve you?"
You turned around a little so you could see his face, you hadn't noticed how his usually stern exterior softens when he talked to you.
"I can't answer that for you, honey. All I know is that having you in my life is the best gift the universe could've given me."
"I love you so much, princess." He placed a chaste kiss on your temple.
"I love you even more."
You and Jumin cuddled for a little while in he bath tub, his arms wrapped around you the whole time. You couldn't tell if the bath itself or the silence was more relaxing, but you were grateful to share this moment with your husband. Starting tomorrow morning, you'd be in conferences with prominent businessmen of Paris and you wouldn't be able to spend as much time together. You had told Jumin your desire to continue working as a business analyst even after your marriage, he agreed and granted you the place of senior business analyst at C&R. Still, even If you were with Jumin in some of his meetings, you knew he would be 100% focused in them and would probably not spend as much quality time together. You might as well make the best of this moment.
Carefully, you reached for the hairbrush and squirmed around a bit to face Jumin. You were intending to brush his hair but he took the brush form you hands, poured some water on your hair and started to brush it delicately.
"I told you I was going to spoil you, honey." More water was poured on your hair as he continued to detangle it. "Please allow me to."
"I feel like a princess, darling."
"I try my best to make you feel like one each and every day. And I will continue to do so until we may see our last sunset, dear."
When Jumin finished with your hair, he grabbed the soap and washed your entire body, giving you compliments on how beautiful you looked. After some pouting, he finally allowed you to wash him as well. After you were done, you both stepped out of the bathtub and he wrapped a fluffy towel around you. You both dried yourselves and walked to the master bedroom. To your surprise, your luggage had already been emptied and your clothes were neatly organized in the wardrobe. The heater was on, so the room and the bed were warm.
"You better change into your pajamas, darling. I wouldn't want you to catch a cold."
You looked through the wardrobe and took your pajamas, changing into them. Jumin was already changed into his.
"The sight from here is breathtaking, don't you think, honey?" You said, pointing at the beautiful sight that could be seen from the window in front of your bed. The moon was high up in the sky, surrounded by stars. The Eiffel Tower could be seen as well, illuminated by the city lights and the moon.
"It is, darling. But it'd be better to share it together while we cuddle in bed." He cooed.
Happily, you got into bed and placed your head on Jumin's chest. He raised your chin with one of his hands and pulled you into a deep, sweet kiss. You shared kissed and snuggles for around 15 minutes when exhaustion rushed in yet again. You could tell Jumin was drowsy too.
"Sleep tight, my dear. Tomorrow we have a busy day." He turned off the light and embraced you, holding onto you as he always did when he slept. "I love you."
"Good night, darling. I love you even more." You whispered, noticing he had already fallen asleep. You kissed his chin and made yourself comfortable. You fell asleep almost instantly in his arms.
