And she can’t help thinking that’s odd, that this is the third night in a row she’s woken up around this time to the feel of him touching her. She leans across him, reaching for his lamp to shed a little light, and settles back resting her weight on her elbow to look at him.
“Ted, have you been waking me up every night on purpose?”
His face freezes for a second but then relents with an embarrassed sigh, “Aww heck, yeah I have been, I’m real sorry Rebecca. I don’t mean to disrupt you, I try to only wake you the tiniest bit so you can go right back to sleep…” he tries to explain nervously.
