Sharkboy & Lavagirl

Summary:

Steve and Tony have a movie night and they get a little distracted. Or a lot distracted.

Notes:

Written for the SteveTony Bingo, Square - Lies, Additional Challenge "Incorrect Quotes"

This was silly. And fun. My shortest one yet! Got inspired by all the hilarious 'Clint is mad at Steve and Tony for having sex in inappropriate places' works.

Disclaimer: I only have vague memories of this movie and I have not refreshed them.

Work Text:

Everyone but Steve and Tony were otherwise occupied, which meant it was just the two of them for movie night. Perfect. Much as Tony loved team bonding, he loved having the opportunity to cozy up to his boyfriend without groans, gagging noises, wolf whistles and being told to get a room.

They were all so immature. It wasn’t like Tony was going to fondle Steve in front of everyone. Well. Not much.

“So, what’s it gonna be?” Steve asked.

“Let’s watch Sharkboy and Lavagirl.” Tony said decisively. The movie choice didn’t matter. Not for what he had in mind.

“Okay.” Steve said nonplussed.

“And make out during the scary parts,” Tony added.

“Th–The scary parts.” Steve paused. “Of Sharkboy and Lavagirl.”

Tony smiled innocently.

They started the film, cuddled up together on the couch with Steve’s arm wrapped around Tony’s shoulder. Five minutes in, Tony looked over at Steve.

“Steve?”

“Yeah?”

“I’m scared.”

“Oh! Okay.” He glanced quizzically from the screen, and then back to Tony, before he shrugged. “Come here then,” he pulled Tony into him and their mouths moved in a deep kiss, tongues sliding together.

After a few minutes of that they pulled apart and settled back against each other.

Tony lasted a whole ten minutes that time before he leaned into Steve’s neck and whispered “this part is pretty scary too, don’t you think?”

“Uhhhh… sure.”

They made out some more.

And again.

And again.

Hands wandered. Shirts got unbuttoned. Bites got sucked into skin.

Until all pretence of watching the movie—if there ever really had been any—disappeared, and they stopped watching it entirely.

Steve flipped them around so that Tony was lying flat on his back with his hands over his head. “You know what I think?”

“What?” Tony panted, wondering when they could get back to the kissing.

“I think you were telling me lies before.” He moved his face right up close to Tony’s. “I don’t think you were scared at all.”

“I don’t know what you're talking about. It’s so scary. The scariest. Why would I lie?”

“Hmm, I wonder.” Steve moulded his lips against Tony’s, who groaned, lifting his hips to rub against Steve.

Steve pulled back to stare at Tony accusingly.

“Okay, fine! I lied. I didn’t want to watch a movie. I just wanted to act like teenagers who can’t keep their hands off each other.”

“So long as that’s clear.” Steve said, promptly continuing to make out with Tony. Huh. Simple as that, apparently.

Steve’s hands curved underneath Tony’s ass to hold him tight. Tony meanwhile undid the front of Steve’s pants, about to slip his hand down the front of them—

“Oh you have got to be kidding me! This is a fucking communal living room, we’ve talked about this guys. Not okay!!”

Steve and Tony broke apart, turning to look at a fuming Clint.

“Thought you’d gone out,” Tony mumbled.

So not the point.”

“We’ll go somewhere more private,” Steve placated, ever the peacemaker.

“But-”

“Come on, Tony.”
