Summary
She is diligent, knowing she has wasted enough time sequestering herself in her room, but there is a constant grief that knots in her stomach and gnaws at her insides until she is desperate to do anything, anything, to feel anything else.
And she does feel something else, when she is collapsed on the ground, heaving, with the sharp end of a dragoon’s lance pointed down at her.
