Summary

the involvement of the victims in a secretive corruption scheme and their ties with royalty demand everything to be done under the tables, and the director of the police kinn can only trust a select number of agents to work on the case. but after the death of the senator, he makes a personal request for pete - to interview and analyze his cousin, vegas, who’s now the head of the minor family. under the premise that kinn wants to figure out if vegas is fit for the role as head of the family due to a series of impulsive decisions made in his administration, pete meets the unfamiliar man - only to find him to be a puzzle as interesting as the crimes he’s in charge of.
