Summary
Dusk is falling on the grounds, the fading light of the sun casting golden shadows on the walls and towers. It feels like a weird juxtaposition to Grian, to have such serenity while knowing the inevitability of everyone's fates. After all, history is doomed to repeat itself eventually.
Grian turns his head to the side, gazing upon the face of the man who has been by his side in so many lives, even if Grian is the only one who has the curse of remembering them, and is struck by an overwhelming sense of fondness for the man.
He is brought out of his musing by Scar grabbing his hand and giving it a small tug, grinning at the younger man. "Come on, stargaze with me, just for a bit. Just while the peace lasts."
(or, alternatively, a moment of peace enters the valley. the two soulmates stargaze side by side and slowly but surely, old wounds start to heal)
