Chapter 1: One night

Chapter Text

It had been more than a month since Jaeyoung came back from France. Sangwoo was of course very happy (even if he wasn’t showing it) that his boyfriend had come back and was spending all his time with him.

Sometimes, Jaeyoung would go out at night with his friends but he would always come back to Sangwoo later on to cuddle him to sleep. Even if Sangwoo had tried to avoid this situation by changing his passcode ten times already, Jaeyoung still managed to find the new one and would sneak into his house to sleep with him, and Sangwoo had grew accustomed to it.

He was used to waking up around midnight, hearing the noise of someone taping in his passcode and feeling exactly fifty-five seconds later a warm and comforting body surrounding him. Jaeyoung would always sneak behind him and hug him tightly, Sangwoo would pretend to only wake up now and groan and try to push him away but would magically “surrender” to sleep and would nod off in Jaeyoung’s arms. Every single night. Except one.

It was already near one A.M and Sangwoo was wide awake, but there was no noise. He was trying to stop his breathing to see if he could hear even a faint sound, but there was nothing. Jaeyoung wasn’t there.

Maybe he was late, that’s what Sangwoo had thought again and again until three A.M, and Jaeyoung still wasn’t there. When he looked at his digital alarm and saw how late it was, Sangwoo found himself growing even more anxious. Something might have happened to him, that may be the reason why he was so late. Feeling his heart pounding in his chest he took his phone and first thought of sending him a message, but he thought he might sound stupid, showing him that he was waiting for him while all the other days he would push him away. He couldn’t do that, he would sound like a possessive boyfriend, Jaeyoung had all the rights not to come, after all, he never promised anything. Yeah, maybe he was just sleeping at home, like a normal person. It wasn’t weird not to sneak in his boyfriend’s room at night, it was even the opposite.

Sangwoo found himself looking at the Instagram app, debating if he should check it or not, he could know why Jaeyoung wasn’t there yet, but it would invade the other’s privacy, again, Jaeyoung was free to do whatever he wants.

Reluctantly, Sangwoo opened the app, afraid of what he would find. In truth, he was afraid to see Jaeyoung having fun with other people, and just completely forgetting about Sangwoo.

He was fine if the older wanted to have fun with his friends at night, he was fine with all of this, he was even fine with Jaeyoung having a ton of friends and being all touchy with them… Okay, maybe he wasn’t totally fine with the last one, but it was still okay as long as the older would come back to him in the end. But here he was, alone.

He feared that Jaeyoung had forgotten about him. It would be easy for him, that’s how his life was before, he could just find someone else, someone funnier than Sangwoo and go on with him. But Sangwoo was stuck, his precious routine had been shattered and now, the new routine he had forced himself to adopt was also being shattered. Sangwoo wouldn’t find someone else, he didn’t want it. He didn’t even want Jaeyoung at first. He would grow back to being alone, and that seemed oddly lonely.

When Sangwoo clicked on Jaeyoung’s profile, he felt quite relieved to see that the other had posted a story not so long ago, so at least nothing bad had happened to him. But he still felt his chest strangely tightening when he saw that the story was just him and his friends at a bar, drinking and playing pool. It had been posted twenty minutes ago, so, long after Jaeyoung was supposed to come back and the time was written in big white letters in the middle of the picture, as if mocking Sangwoo.

Jaeyoung was late and he was aware of it, he hadn’t forgotten the time, he had forgotten Sangwoo. That or he didn’t want to come, and Sangwoo couldn’t tell which was worse.

That night he stood awake until dawn, overthinking things again and again, not finding peace nor sleep. He still decided to get up and go on with his routine, he could manage one night without sleeping.

In the afternoon he went to the library and tried to work on a subject his teacher had gave him recently, but he couldn’t seem to focus. He was still thinking about Jaeyoung and his picture.

Around an hour later, he heard the chair next to his being pushed aside as someone sat there.

“What are you doing?”

Sangwoo’s head sprung up as he recognized the voice immediately, it was the one he had missed all night. He tried to look unbothered when he heard Jaeyoung chuckling beside him because of his sudden move.

“I’m working on a subject for my math class.”

Sangwoo answered trying to be as normal as possible.

“Okay.”

Jaeyoung answered looking at the paper upon Sangwoo’s shoulder. After some seconds that felt suffocating for Sangwoo he gathered his courage and asked:

“You didn’t come last night?”

It sounded as a question but he was well aware the older didn’t, he thought about it enough to be sure of that.

“Oh, so you noticed?”

Jaeyoung answered, laughing bitterly.

“What? Why? Of course I noticed, you weren’t there this morning and nobody woke me up in the middle of the night…”

He said as a matter of fact. He was confused about what the older meant by that.

“It’s just, you didn’t check on me, so, I thought maybe you didn’t notice… Or you didn’t care…”

“Why should I check on you? You’re an adult, you’re free to do whatever you want…”
Sangwoo answered still confused.

“It’s nothing, forget it… I have to go… Yuna asked for me, she needs help on… something.”
Jaeyoung said vaguely as he stood up and left the library, briefly ruffling the younger’s hair on his way out.

Sangwoo was even more dumbfounded. First, Jaeyoung spent the whole night out and didn’t bother to tell him he wasn’t coming back, and now he left to go spend some time with Yuna when he hasn’t seen his boyfriend since almost 24 hours. That was so unlike him. Jaeyoung couldn’t spend an hour without literally begging Sangwoo for a message, a voice message or a picture, anything to spend more time with the younger.

Sangwoo tried not to think anything of it. Jaeyoung had other friends, and Yuna needed help and she was nice, and it wasn’t his business. Jaeyoung was big enough to know what he was doing and what his priorities were. And Sangwoo apparently wasn’t part of it.

He gathered his things, he wouldn’t do anything more today, he was too tired and preoccupied to achieve a single thing more.

He put his bag on his shoulder and walked towards the exit of the library but before he could pass it, a recognizable laugh was heard at a table just behind him. Sangwoo turned around and immediately spotted the certain someone at a table, their back turned towards him.

There, not even ten meters away from him was Yuna, sitting at a table, with another girl, and no Jaeyoung in sight.

Sangwoo frowned and took out his phone, before he could think more about it, he wrote a message to Jaeyoung.

“Where are you?”

Not even a minute later he received a message from his boyfriend.

“I told you I’m with Yuna, we’re at my condo. Why?”

And Sangwoo felt like crying for the first time in ten years.

Chapter Text

“Yuna? What are you doing here?”

Sangwoo asked, he already recognized the voice but he wanted to make sure he wasn’t imagining things because of his tiredness.

“Oh, Sangwoo! We’re studying for an upcoming exam! What about you?”

“I was working on a project… Do you have time for me right now?”

Sangwoo asked quite bluntly. He wasn’t stupid, he had guessed they were on a date but he needed to talk to Yuna about something that went through his mind around 6 A.M last night or rather this morning.

“Yes, of course, hum…”

She looked to the girl across from her apologetically and the girl quickly smiled.

“No worries, I have to go get a book and I’ll also get a coffee while I’m at it, text me when I can come back!”

She got up and waved them goodbye as she walked off towards a bookshelf at the other side of the library.

“So, what did you want to talk about?”

Yuna plopped down on one elbow, her chin resting in the palm of her hand.

“Well, I know we already talked about his exes…”

“So Jaeyoung…”

Yuna said as a matter of fact.

“Yes, you said he broke up with them because he got bored, what do you mean?”

“Well…”

Yuna seemed to be thinking, scratching her chin lightly.

“You see, most of the time, they were the one who asked him out and he just accepted, thinking maybe it could be fun but they were always very different and Jaeyoung would just be bored of them so he would break up…”

“How?”

Sangwoo cut her off.

“Well, he would spend less time with them, to indicate that he doesn’t wanna be with them, then he’ll break up if they don’t do it before.”

“And it’s just because they are different or are there any other reason?”

Sangwoo seemed genuinely interested and it scared Yuna a little bit.

“Sangchoo, has Jaeyoung did anything to you? Do you wanna break up with him? You know I’ll beat his ass if he does anything, right?”

She asked, trying to reassure the young boy in front of her. Sangwoo seemed stress, tensed, well, more than usual. And Yuna was scared something had happened between him and her best friend.

“No, no! It’s okay, I’m just asking!”

Sangwoo said quickly, doing his best to sound unbothered, trying to make her believe his words, which she didn’t, obviously.

“Okay…”

She said brushing it off. It wasn’t the first time Sangwoo was acting strange.

“I remember that once he broke up with a girl because she wasn’t getting along with us…”

“What do you mean?”

“Well, she didn’t like us and would always try to spend all her time with Jaeyoung so that he wouldn’t spend time with us and it got on Jaeyoung’s nerves because he couldn’t spend time with his friends as much as he wanted and he had to take care of her all the time, it was legit annoying!”

She said rolling her eyes. Sangwoo nodded, taking a mental note of that. That would be added to his “things to worry about” list for later.

“Okay, I’ll be leaving now, thanks for your time. Oh, and don’t tell Jaeyoung I saw you nor that we talked together, okay?”

Sangwoo asked and when Yuna briefly nodded her head he took his cue to leave.

Once he came back to his apartment, he took a shower and waited for Jaeyoung to text him or call him as he would usually do in the evening to tell him he was going out with his friends and would pass by later. But Jaeyoung never called.

Midnight rang and Sangwoo still got no call, no messages, nothing. He hadn’t eaten as he felt like throwing up. His overthinking got him an upset stomach.

Sangwoo decided to go to bed and waited some more hours but nothing came, no message, no Jaeyoung, and before he knew it, the sun was rising again. Sangwoo hadn’t slept, again.

He was busy thinking. Thinking about what Yuna had said. Sangwoo was the exact opposite of Jaeyoung, he was tensed all the time, he wasn’t social, he was a good student, he was serious and absolutely not flexible. Hours were hours, words were words, they had a sense and should be respected. He wasn’t frivolous, wasn’t funny, wasn’t appreciated. People didn’t like spending time with him, and he was okay with that, until Jaeyoung, or more likely, until he talked to Yuna this afternoon.

She had said that Jaeyoung had broken up because his friends didn’t like the girl and she was trying to keep Jaeyoung for herself. Sangwoo was like that too. He didn’t know his friends but Yuna had hated him when she first saw him because of what he had done to Jaeyoung, so the others must hate him too. And he was getting upset just because Jaeyoung had spent one single night without him, so he was trying to keep him to himself too. He was just like her.

Yuna had said Jaeyoung was first being distant then would break up, and yesterday he hadn’t come to bed with him, and today he didn’t text him nor talked to him in the library. He was being distant.

Sangwoo knew he was overthinking, Jaeyoung hadn’t said anything, but still. How was he supposed to find sleep when the place beside him was so cold? Sangwoo shook these thoughts off. He was being ridiculous. He had spent his whole life alone, what would be so surprising or difficult in returning to his old life. But sure enough, Sangwoo found himself longing for warmth and more precisely, a warm body beside his on that bed.

He got up when his alarm went off and once again, he couldn’t sleep at all. His head was spinning a little bit but he managed to eat some breakfast and get ready for school. He checked Instagram and saw that Jaeyoung had posted a picture in the evening, with his friends again, in the same bar.

Sangwoo took his bike and went to class, he arrived early and try to make up a plan. He couldn’t let Jaeyoung break up with him, not after what he went through to get with him, and also because he was very attached to the boy even if he wouldn’t admit it.

He managed to make up a plan, he would try to befriend Jaeyoung’s friends. He had to at least get along with them, appear as a nice and funny guy, and maybe Jaeyoung would like him more. Sangwoo nodded his head as he was coming up with ideas to try and seem nice, writing them down in a notebook.

After around thirty minutes people entered the classroom and soon enough, Jaeyoung was sitting beside him. Sangwoo quickly hid his notebook and turned towards him.

“You didn’t come last night too.”

He said, trying to still appear unbothered, he couldn’t be too clingy.

“I thought I could do whatever I want?”

Jaeyoung answered almost coldly. Sangwoo looked at him surprised and Jaeyoung seemed to calm down instantly.

“Sorry, yes, I was out with some friends.”

He smiled apologetically and ruffled Sangwoo’s hair.

“Oh, I see.”

Sangwoo said as if he hadn’t stalked his Instagram in the morning to know more about his friends.

“Are you seeing them again tonight?”

He asked, still sounding nonchalant.

“I don’t know, probably, why?”

Jaeyoung asked confused.

“I was thinking, maybe I could come with you?”

Sangwoo proposed, trying not to show his excitement, his plan was starting. But he wasn’t exactly excited. He would have to act nice to people he doesn’t even know, what was exciting there?

“Really?”

Jaeyoung seemed shocked for a moment, trying to process everything.

“You’re saying that you would like to meet my friends?”

He asked with a huge grin on his face.

“Hum, yes, that’s what I proposed…”

Sangwoo answered confused.

“Oh my god yes! I would love that!”

Jaeyoung answered wrapping his arms around his smaller boyfriend.

“My baby will meet my besties!”

He almost shouted before Sangwoo put his head on his mouth to stop the noise. Jaeyoung slapped his hand away and started peppering his whole face with kisses.

“I’m so happy!”

Jaeyoung said, squeezing Sangwoo in his arms. And the younger felt like he had just fell in a trap.

Summary:

Jaeyoung and Sangwoo go to a party and Sangwoo tries to put his plan in action but it doesn't go well.

Notes:

Trigger Warning: Mention of non-consensual touching! I'll put a warning before and after the scenes (there are two of them), it is short but I'll still put a summary of it at the end for those who prefer to skip it <3
It is not very graphic but I understand that some people feel uncomfortable reading it!

Chapter Text

Jaeyoung was back to normal. He had been smothering Sangwoo for the whole day and the younger wasn’t against it. He had followed him everywhere, asking why Sangwoo was suddenly willing to meet his friends but Sangwoo refused to talk about it, he would just kiss the older out of nowhere and it would make Jaeyoung shut up immediately.

In the evening, Sangwoo had even tried to choose a good outfit but settled on a simple hoodie and a jean, as always. He wore his cap and decided not to take his backpack as it would seem strange, even if wearing his backpack seemed to bring him peace and comfort. He decided to go against it because he wanted Jaeyoung’s friends to like him.

Around seven P.M, Jaeyoung knocked at the door and Sangwoo followed him to a small bar, hidden in an alley. On the way, Jaeyoung had insisted on holding Sangwoo’s hand and had asked him once again why the younger suddenly decided to meet up with his friends. Sangwoo refused to answer and settled on saying that “he felt like it”, but Jaeyoung knew better than to believe him. He also noticed how Sangwoo wasn’t wearing his backpack, that’s why he proposed to hold his hand, to bring him some comfort of some sort.

When they arrived, Sangwoo recognized the place as the one in Jaeyoung’s pictures and realized that the decoration was even better in real life. They settled in a booth, waiting for Jaeyoung’s friends to arrive. Sangwoo refused a beer saying that he didn’t feel like drinking that night and preferred to drink a glass of water.

“Typical.”

Jaeyoung ad answered, playfully rolling his eyes while Sangwoo elbowed him in the arm.
Sangwoo felt stressed. He had never been in this situation before, never felt like he had to please people. He was absolutely against it and would have never thought he would end up like this. But once again, he never thought he would end up with Jaeyoung anyways. He was slightly shaking and Jaeyoung noticed, growing even more worried.

“Are you sure you’re okay? You don’t have to force yourself to be there you know?”

And Sangwoo absentmindedly hummed but he had to. He had to force himself, for Jaeyoung to like him, to stay like they are right now. Because honestly, he was scared to go back to his lonely life that seemed grey to him now. He was scared of losing Jaeyoung, scared to be hated by his hyung, even if it was something that had seemed botherless to him months before.

“Jaeyoung!”

He heard shouting and looked to the side. A bunch of young adults or old teenagers entered and Sangwoo felt even more out of place. They were all handsome and cool and looked fresh, unbothered, nice and fun, and Sangwoo was just…himself…
Jaeyoung got up and handshaked each one of his friends, already laughing with them and smiling, and one of the boys noticed Sangwoo.

“Who’s that cutie? Is he your younger brother?”

The man asked wrapping his arm around Sangwoo’s shoulders and Sangwoo shuddered. He couldn’t go on with his plan, it was impossible.

“The fuck man? No! He’s my boyfriend!”

Jaeyoung answered peeling the man’s arm off of Sangwoo’s shoulders and replacing it with his own.

“Oh my god! You’re THE Cho Sangwoo?”

Another man screamed, pushing everyone to get a closer look. Sangwoo tightened his fist and only nodded his head. He hated this. He hated being the center of attention, even more when he couldn’t be himself. He hated being there, forced to socialize.

“You’re so cute!”

A girl said pinching his cheek harshly and Jaeyoung had to slap her hand away so that she would let go of him.

“Don’t touch him!”

He said raising his voice playfully.

“Why? Is there a problem?”

The lady asked, looking confused. Sangwoo looked at Jaeyoung, he knew the older did that for him, because he knows how much Sangwoo hates being touched. But Sangwoo couldn’t say it now, he felt awful but he had to lie and go against his principles, he couldn’t let Jaeyoung’s friends thinking he’s weird.

“No that’s okay!”

He said quickly, with a small smile, more for Jaeyoung than the girl. To assure him that he was okay. Jaeyoung frowned and tried to speak but got cut off when one of his friends offered to pay for beers for everyone. Jaeyoung once again tried to protest and explain that Sangwoo didn’t want to drink but Sangwoo cut him off and accepted the beer.

The party went on, Jaeyoung got busy playing some random video game with his friends on his phone and Sangwoo was trying to socialize with the rest of his friends.

“So, I heard you’re in a relationship with Jaeyoung?”

The man from earlier asked, draping once again his arm against Sangwoo’s shoulders.

“Yes, that’s right.”

Sangwoo answered, feeling clearly unwell, he hadn’t slept in two days and had already drunk
three beers.

“Well, he talked about you, you know?”

The man said getting closer.

“Oh really? What did he say?”

Sangwoo was already too tipsy to notice the man putting his hand in his hair.

“He said your hair is fluffy, I guess it’s true.”

He said ruffling the younger’s hair. He was himself, already drunk.

“He also said you were a strange nerd.”

The man laughed, and Sangwoo took some time to process his words.

⚠️ Beginning of the scene

“He said you don’t care about anything, so I guess you wouldn’t care if I did that!”

The man exclaimed putting a hand on Sangwoo’s butt and squeezing it. Sangwoo slapped his hand away and tried to move away from him.

⚠️ End of the first scene

“What? Oh man, you’re not funny!”

He said, turning away to leave. He didn’t even hear Sangwoo mumbling things behind.

“I am funny.”

Sangwoo felt his head spinning too much and felt like he would faint so he grabbed the closest thing to him, which happened to be the pool table.
Another man who was playing looked at him and smirked.

“You want to play?”

Sangwoo tried to shake his head but the man got in front of him and placed a cue in his hands.

“I’ve never played.”

Sangwoo muttered, his head spinning even more.

“No worries cutie, I’ll teach you.”

⚠️ Beginning of the second scene

The man answered. He placed his hands on Sangwoo’s waist to turn him towards the table and bend him a little bit to take place and try to shoot with the cue. He still kept one hand on his waist and bend down over him, placing his other hand on Sangwoo’s on the cue.

Jaeyoung was still playing when he realized he hadn’t heard Sangwoo for over thirty minutes. He lifted his head from his phone and looked around for him when he heard a girl,
sitting beside him saying:

“Isn’t that your boyfriend playing pool?”

Jaeyoung quickly looked there and felt his blood boiling when he saw the scene happening in front of his eyes. Sangwoo was bent over the table as another man was bent over him, clearly taking advantage of the situation. What made him go completely mad was when he saw the man knowingly placing his hand on Sangwoo’s ass in an attempt to “help him” and when Sangwoo tried to shake him off, clearly too drunk to understand, the man held his wrists, very tight, earning a small yelp from a tearing up Sangwoo.

⚠️ End of the last scene

“What the fuck are you doing?!”

Jaeyoung screamed, rushing to the table and pushing the man away. He took Sangwoo in his arms trying to protect him. The other man stumbled a little bit trying to get up, laughing it off as a joke.

“Oh, so it worked! We were trying to make you mad, I guess I won!”

The man laughed, lifting his arms in the air.

“The fuck?!”

Jaeyoung screamed again. He looked down to Sangwoo in his arms and lifted his head towards him.

“Sangwoo are you okay?”

Sangwoo tried to say something but his words came out muffled.

“Hyung, he touched me. I don’t wanna be touched.”

He said, gripping on his boyfriend’s shirt. And before he knew it, everything went black.

Notes:

⚠️ So, basically, two friends of Jaeyoung tried to grope Sangwoo without his consent to make Jaeyoung mad and because they were all drunk.

Chapter Text

Sangwoo woke up in his bed, he was surrounded by warmth and felt more at ease than he did in the last two days. And that was despite is raging headache and his very present nausea. He tried to turn around to look at his boyfriend but one single movement was enough to stir the other boy awake. Jaeyoung jolted up when he felt Sangwoo moving in his arms, in seconds he was cupping Sangwoo’s cheeks, inspecting his face and asking him non-stop if he felt okay and if something was hurting.
Sangwoo smiled sweetly, feeling happy to have Jaeyoung’s whole attention on him.

“Hyung, I’m okay, I just have a hungover, it’s normal.”

“Sangwoo, you collapsed! That’s not ‘okay’! I know you can drink more than this as we’ve drunk together before!”

Jaeyoung said, scolding his boyfriend gently.

“It must have been because I was tired…”

Sangwoo mumbled, not expecting Jaeyoung to hear it.

“What do you mean? You haven’t slept properly? Have you overworked yourself?”

Jaeyoung asked, trying to inspect his boyfriend’s face again.

“Hyung, no, it’s not like that, I don’t even have that much work now…”

Sangwoo answered. But Jaeyoung grew even more curious.

“Then what do you mean?”

He raised an eyebrow, staring at Sangwoo’s face to detect if the younger was lying or not.

“Well, hum, I…”

“Don’t even try to lie or I’ll check your bracelet, you know, the one which calculates your sleep and fatigue…”

Jaeyoung answered, knowing he had trapped his boyfriend.

“Okay… I haven’t slept at all for the last two nights…”

Sangwoo admitted looking down. Jaeyoung gasped loudly.

“What do you mean you haven’t slept at all, you mean not at all?”

“That’s what it means yes.”

Sangwoo answered rolling his eyes.

“Cho Sangwoo! Are you out of your mind? I knew you looked tired but I would have never thought it was that much!”

Jaeyoung exclaimed.

“Then why did you insist on coming with me tonight?”

Jaeyoung asked feeling quite mad that his boyfriend had been neglecting himself like that.

“Because otherwise you wouldn’t have come home with me…”

Sangwoo mumbled, looking down.

“What? You… I thought you didn’t care about that…”

Jaeyoung explained, confused.

“No, I mean… You can do whatever you want but, if what you want is to come to bed with me at night, I wouldn’t mind that too, I wouldn’t be against it, kinda…”

Sangwoo was playing with his fingers, finding admitting the truth too embarrassing for him.

“You’re saying that you want me to sneak in your room at night to sleep with you?”

Jaeyoung asked with shining eyes. Sangwoo kept his gaze down but still nodded, feeling his cheeks heating up.
Jaeyoung tried to suppress a smile as he asked:

“Why didn’t you just say that? Why would you want to come to this party if you were that tired, plus I could tell you were stressed and uncomfortable!”

Jaeyoung had asked the question. And Sangwoo was just realizing after sleeping a little bit that this whole situation was very stupid.

“You were distancing yourself and I thought you would break up with me if I wasn’t getting along with your friends and you were so happy to know I was coming…”

Jaeyoung looked genuinely confused. He grabbed Sangwoo’s face and looked him in the
eyes.

“Sangwoo, what are you talking about?”

Sangwoo sighed and adverted his eyes. He took a deep breath and explained.

“You weren’t coming to my room anymore and I know you lied when you said you were with Yuna as she was with me and I thought you were putting some distance between us, and you looked so happy with your friends on your pictures. And Yuna said you would break up with people if they were too different or not getting along with your friends so I wanted to seem cool and funny to your friends for you to like me more…”

He explained it all at once, trying not to forget anything. They had already established that communication was very important in their relationship and Sangwoo wanted to keep to his words and tell everything to Jaeyoung, even if he seemed stupid.

“Baby… You thought I would break up with you? That’s not how it is! I wasn’t creating distance, it’s just that, a friend of mine said you wouldn’t care if I wasn’t coming home and I wanted to prove him wrong and I waited all night for a message or something but it never came. I thought it wasn’t the kind of things you would care about, you never do… And the day after that you seemed so unbothered by it that I got angry and thought that you indeed didn’t care about me… So, I lied and spent the afternoon alone in my condo, and I spent the night with the guys at the bar. I didn’t want to make you worry, I really love getting to bed with you and cuddling you to sleep!”

Sangwoo blushed, still avoiding Jaeyoung’s stare.

“And for your information, those guys yesterday weren’t my friends, they are just some people I hang out with, my real friends are Yuna and Hyeongtaek, and you. I don’t care about them, and that girl Yuna talked about, it was an excuse to break up with her as she was annoying as fuck. Sangwoo, you are not annoying, you are funny and cute and smart and very interesting and I love that. And I love to be the only one to be able to see this hidden treasure that you are. You don’t have to force yourself to please some idiots.”

Jaeyoung hugged Sangwoo close in his arms and rubbed his back. And for once, Sangwoo didn’t even try to hide that he liked it.

“And I hated the way that fucker touched you! Who does he think he is! I should have broken his hands! Idiot!”

Sangwoo chuckled, snuggling closer in Jaeyoung’s arms.

“Which one?”

He asked, getting comfy in his boyfriend’s chest.

“What do you mean which one? There were more than one?”

Jaeyoung asked tearing himself apart from Sangwoo (who groaned in return) and looking him dead in the eyes.

“Well, there was the one who touched my hair and grabbed my ass and the one who tried to grope me while teaching me pool…”

Sangwoo explained, looking down.

“Fuck, I only saw the one at the pool table! Who was the other one, what did he look like?”
Jaeyoung asked trying to get out of bed, as if ready to fight. And Sangwoo didn’t have to know he had most probably already broken the other guy’s nose.

“I could really use a hug right now, I feel gross, I hated it…”

Sangwoo muttered and in seconds Jaeyoung was back by his side hugging him and caressing his hair.

“I’m sorry they did that to you… I won’t let this happen ever again!”

Sangwoo nodded, nuzzling his head in his boyfriend’s neck.

“Why didn’t you push them away? I know you could have pushed them to the ground or at least called me for help.”

Jaeyoung asked, feeling curious.

“I wanted your friends to like me… And the first boy said I wasn’t funny.”

He added, feeling like a child complaining to his mother. He felt Jaeyoung’s grip tightening and felt even more safe.

“That fucker! I didn’t like it one bit, don’t force yourself to be touchy with others, I hate it, it’s okay if only I can touch you! I like it better like that, it’ll keep the bastards away!”

Jaeyoung mumbled some insults under his breath and Sangwoo chuckled lightly.

“I don’t care about them Sangwoo, I would rather spend all my nights cuddling you than going to another stupid party with them. And now that I know you like it too, I won’t have to wait until you’re sleeping to sneak in your house! I want you comfy and happy!”

Jaeyoung seemed to have regain some energy and joy, while Sangwoo was dozing off in his arms.

“I promise I’ll try to open up more to you, but if you do something that I don’t like I’ll tell you honestly, otherwise, it’s that I’m okay with it…”

Sangwoo mumbled in Jaeyoung’s shirt.

“I love you as you are Cho Sangwoo.”

Jaeyoung kissed the crown of his neck and soon enough they were both sleeping peacefully, but not until Sangwoo whispered an “I love you” back.
