    In the grand scheme of things, which subgenre Superman is shouldn't matter. But the Earth of the twenty-first century doesn't care about the grand scheme of things, so everyone is very interested in Superman’s subgenre. Because, well, he's Superman. And because he’s an alien, apparently so similar to the humans: do Kryptonians have the same biology? The question titillates the more thorny side of media curiosity.
    But Superman seems pretty shy about those kinds of questions – which obviously only adds to the gossip. Thus, the more insinuating the questions become, the more he eludes them. And the more he eludes them, the more they become pressing. In a non-stop, wearing out exchange of polite but firm answers and counter-answers.
    Bruce is fed-up about it, and takes note of it. He justifies this feeling with the fact that certain indiscretions hinder the team's work and set up unnecessary tensions, but the truth is quite different. And when Clark announces to the team, for the fourth month in a row, that he will be on ‘retreat’ for a few days in his Fortress of Solitude, well, that's the beginning of the end.
