    It's the 27th day at the hospital, and Pete notes happily that Vegas is recovering well. His wounds, all closed, and his internal organs are starting to function as they should; color returning gradually to Vegas' skin, and even the hospital gown is starting to look sexy on him, Pete observed gleefully. There have been more frequent touches too, but slow, gentle like they have all the time in the world, layered in between sloppy kisses, stolen away like sunlight in a crystal.

    It's been perfect and Pete knows it's a lie.
