Moonlight and Sea Fairy; the goddesses of lesbianism, or at least that's what the legends say.
The goddess of the sea and the goddess of the skies, the perfect combination, but they didn't get a happy ending; they could never be together because of their jobs.
I grew up, with those teachings, and I always loved the moon.
Maybe my mothers pushed me a little bit, they are priestesses after all, and they named me after the goddess.
So I guess that was expected; I listen to the sounds of cicadas and look at the moon as I walked around.
This was a quiet beach town for the followers of Moonlight and the followers of Sea Fairy to meet, but I never really cared about those things, so I was just walking around this small town.
Then I bumped into something and fell to the ground as I heard a sweet voice say: "Oh, I'm so sorry!"
I look up to see a cookie, a very pretty cookie she actually looks like Sea Fairy from the legends.
"A daughter of the followers of Sea Fairy."
I blurt it out.
"Yeah, actually," she said.
"So you are moonlights?"
"Yes, I know I look like her. Yes, my mothers named me that way."
"Same, Seafairy." we both giggled.
"So...do you want to do something that we are both expected to do?" I said with a smug expression.
Even though I don't like to admit that to my mothers because that's what they f****** expected.
I am a lesbian, I guess it's running in the family.
She looked kind of shocked and then giggled.
"I know a spot where we could eat some donuts?"
"That's fine with me."
"Great," I said, starting to hold her hands; I feel like I already know her.
