Work Text:
I woke up right next to her: this was our anniversary, I never thought people went from college roommates and rivals to lovers who own the company together, but it happens.
As I went to prepare breakfast, thinking about our days at college and how much we hated each other; I mean, we were the best in our class and completely the opposite; I make casual and fast fashion, she makes eloquent high fashion; we could not be any more different, and we showcased our rivalry every single day, trying to decide which style was best, and I think the teachers and the classmates enjoyed that.
But one day, we were paired up for a project, and I still remember when we got the news, we both went to the teacher and expressed how we would clash and how the other would ruin the project.
I remember what she said to us: "That's why I paired you up. I think you girls could learn a few things from each other."
So after school we sat down in the cafe and started talking; I said:
"Look, I don't like you, but this is a part of my grade, so let's make a truce."
"I don't like you too, but agreed."
We clashed a lot at the start, trying to choose what's our concept, shoot me, none of us were compromising until she realized how this going to work.
I remember when she said: "Let's compromise and make something that both of us would like."
So we started looking, taking inspiration from fast fashion and high fashion, actually working together.
As I learned a few things from her, and she probably did from me too, in the end, we got the best grade from our entire class.
I remember when I said: "Hey, you're not as bad as I thought; you're actually pretty good!
"Yeah, you too," she said.
"Maybe we should work together again," I said.
"Yes."
And now, about 5 years later, we are here; I felt her gently hug me from behind.
"Reminiscing?"
"Yeah."
"Me too."
"I love you Sour Belt.
"Me too."
My to Chocolate Bonbon.
