Notes:

JK Fitz is Josef (Josef Kostan Fitzgerald). During Season Two of HB, Josef took to writing poetry. Yeah, it was bizarre to me, too, but he's full of surprises.

Written in 2008 for the Moonlight forums and Half-Blood series, and never posted here.

"I Loved You Once" is about Josef's relationship with Sarah Whitley in this universe. It deals with the things that took place in the fic "Prince Charming."

I LOVED YOU ONCE

 

I loved you once

In a fairytale land far away

Fantasy made real in your loving eyes

For but a moment in time I believed

In happily ever after

 

I lost you once

In a dark night of the soul

A dream destroyed in one fatal mistake

In the blink of an eye I was shattered

Folly to trust in love so cruel

 

I found you again

In a miracle come true

A myth revealed in the light

Left behind long ago for reality

No longer wanted

 

I’ve betrayed you now

In an ironic twist of fate

Fantasies and fairytales vanish

Unexpected true love remains

I loved you, once
