Summary
He wondered what it would be like, to hold a smaller version of himself in his arms—it’s always been a recurrent thought of his, deep and subconscious though it always has been, but sometimes the weight of crown and country sank so far into his skin that it was difficult to remember that swathed in responsibility as he was, he was still young enough to enjoy what life hadn’t yet taken from his hands.
Fortunately, he had Hakuno by his side to remind him they still had an eternity spread out before them so that he would never get lost in the flood of his mind, and satisfy the part of him that yearns to leave a part of himself behind.
