Work Text:
The song had been playing that night in the club when you crossed paths with him. He was hunting someone, but you didn’t know that at the time. You could tell he wasn’t someone to fuck with. There was a dangerous glint in his eyes as he passed you. His eyes caught yours and you felt like you couldn’t breathe.
His eyes were locked onto you the entire him he passed you. He turned away only when he was too far to keep looking. He knew where he was going. You watched him go. That night you were left wondering 2 things. Had he caught who he was after, and who was he?
You’ll always be mine
Sing it to the world
Always be my boy
I’ll always be your girl
Nobody’s business
Ain’t nobody’s business
Ain’t nobody’s business
But mine, and my baby
You saw the car. A white limo, sleek and shiny. It was parked across the road and you couldn’t help stopping to look at it. As far as cars go, it was a pretty sexy vehicle. Whoever owned that had to have a bit of money, surely.
The driver’s door opened and a man stepped out. Again, it was like all air from your lungs ceased to exist. Your eyes met his instantly. He was looking directly at you from across the street. He leaned against the door for the limo as he stood there, watching you.
You turned to look around and see if anyone else had noticed, but no one seems bothered. The people around you carried on walking, going about their business. When your eyes met his again, you found he was smiling this time.
Your heart stopped. You were certain of it.
The man pushes away from his door and walks to the door in the back. He opens it and looks back up at you. That was his invitation for you to get in. You could walk away right here and now, but you don’t. Your feet carry you across the street. You keep up the eye contact as you reach the door.
You’re so close to him. You can smell him. You can see every detail of his face. His lips twitch up into a grin. That’s when you climb into the back seat. He closes the door behind you and gets back into the drivers seat.
Your love is perfection
Please point me in the right direction
I'ma give you all my affection
Every touch becomes infectious
Let’s make out in this Lexus
There’s no other love just like this
A life with you
I wonder, can we become love’s persona?
That song is playing on the radio as he drives. You look at him as he drives the limo away from the crowds.
Though he gave you the sense of danger when you met him in that club, you don’t feel like you’re in danger with him. He meets your gaze through the mirror and he smiles again. Every time he looks at you, you forget what breathing is.
He soon parks the car up and climbs out. You remain in the back, not sure if you need to get out or not. Moments later the doors opens, but rather than giving you a chance to get out, he climbs in the back with you. You move over to give him room to share the seat with you.
In a swift movement he removes his cap and tosses it to the side. He looks at you with an intense gaze.
You’re not one to just fuck a stranger in the back of their car, but holy shit did this man have some kind of power over you.
You’ll always be the one that I wanna come home to
Girl, let me love you and show you how special you are
I wanna be your baby, you’ll always be my baby
Tell me what you want
He drives you home after. Clothes askew, hair out of place, but never have you felt better. That man knew exactly what he was doing. Every touch, every whisper. The Spanish as you feeling all kinds of ways.
Jake Lockley. That’s his name. He told you specifically for the reason of wanting to hear you say it.
You said it alright.
He opens the door for you and helps you out of his limo. You stand there with your hand in his for a good few moments. You can’t seem to look away from him. You don’t want to look away from him.
Jake pulls you close and kisses you passionately right there. Your fingers bury themselves into his hair again. You want to keep going, but he stops you. He lets go of you with a smirk and climbs into the drivers seat.
You sigh and walk to your front door. You’re aware he doesn’t drive away. No, he waits for you to go inside before you hear his engine start. You hear him drive away from inside your home, all the while wondering if you would see him again.
And you would. Sooner than you thought.
Sing it to the world
Baby give me time
You gon’ be my girl
I wanna make you mine
And it ain’t nobody’s business
It ain’t nobody’s business
It ain’t nobody’s business
It ain’t nobody’s business
Just mine, and my baby
Ain’t nobody’s business
Said it, ain’t nobody’s business
It ain’t nobody’s business
It ain’t nobody’s business
You’re playing that song out loud on your phone when there’s a knock on your door. That song was the only connection you had to your mysterious Jake. You open the door not sure what to expect, but when your eyes land on Jake, everything happens so quickly.
Your arms around his neck, he’s kicking the door shut with his foot. Your lips are in an intense battle with his own as you guide him all the way to the bedroom.
As you unbutton his shirt, you don’t acknowledge the blood staining his clothes. Your mind is too occupied with what he’s doing to you.
You can still hear the song playing in the background as Jake pins you down onto the bed. His name tumbles from your mouth over and over again.
Jake is still there in the morning.
You’ll always be mine (Mine)
Sing it to the world (World, baby)
Always be my boy (Woo)
You’ll always be my girl, yeah
Nobody’s business (Nobody’s business)
Ain’t nobody’s business (Ain’t nobody’s business)
Ain’t nobody’s business (Nobody)
But mine and my baby
You wake up with your head on his chest. He has one arm around your body, the other under his head. He’s still asleep as you stare at him. His perfect features. The warmth he radiates.
Dangerous, yes.
Handsome, certainly.
Sexy, don’t you know it.
You’re not sure how you even got to this point, but you’re oh so thankful it happened. Jake was a just a coincidence that stuck around. You’re in love with the way he makes you feel just by looking at you.
He wakes up. Dark eyes lighting up at the sight of you.
You smile at one another.
He leans in and kisses you, just as passionately as all the previous kisses he had given you. You knew then and there that no matter where he showed up, you would always let him in. That you would always let him make you feel this way.
Jake Lockley made you feel so many things.
You would give in to him every single time.
