Summary
“Marius, we talked about this,” Vyn said, keeping his voice gentle. He could see it now. The difference was a raw vulnerability, a fragility Vyn hadn’t seen much before in his lover. “I don’t want you to have to deal with the cruelty of the media any more than you do now. If I could change it, I would, no matter the cost.”
“I know, I know and I’m sorry. I can just go if it’s a problem. You’re probably busy anyways.” Marius turned to leave. If there was one thing Marius didn’t often care about, it was if he was bothering Vyn’s work. He always protested that Vyn would get it done in time regardless of whether Marius distracted him or not, so why not have fun?
“Marius von Hagen.”
or: Marius deals with his imposter syndrome by seeking out Vyn, even if its mid-afternoon, and Vyn has patients that need to seen soon.
