“What do you think of it?” Padmé asked, twirling around, her sun dress flowing effortlessly around her as she moved.
The smile that crossed Anakin’s face was always the same. All words catching in his throat. He absolutely adored his wife. She was everything a man could want in a partner and more with her graceful elegance that made him feel like he didn’t even deserve to be on the same planet as her, her kindness and generosity that knew no stranger and no limitation, everything about her that had saved him. Saved him from himself, from decisions that would’ve consumed him rather than uplifted him. She pulled him through, supported him and stood by him more times than he could count. She was the backbone of their family, one of the strongest people he’d ever known. She deserved the world.
“I think… You are so beautiful,” he breathed.
She blushed. “I'm asking about the dress.”
“Well then…” He crossed the room, taking her in his arms. “I think the person in the dress is the reason it looks so good.”
She wrapped her arms around his neck. “Oh really? I think you must want something…”
“Only your love, angel.”
