Ginny and Luna HC

Work Text:

Ginny/Luna HC

Ginny is picking up the living room and listening to the radio that Hermione introduced to her and Luna when they moved into their place years ago.

*Kelly Clarkson’s Before Your Love starts playing*

“OOO. I love this song,” Ginny exclaims happily. She jogs over to the radio with her beautiful long red hair waving behind her. “It reminds me of the time when Luna and I were just starting to go out,” mutters to herself.  She doesn’t realize that Luna is leaning against the doorjamb watching the love of her life.

“What was that love?” Luna enquires with a smile upon hearing the song. Ginny whirls around at her sweetheart’s voice. “LUNA! How long have you been standing there?” Ginny asks. Gin slowly walks toward Luna holding her hand out and silently asking for a dance.

Luna slowly slides into Gin’s arms, and they start to sway to the song. “Not long. Just long enough for you to turn up the radio,” answers Luna looking lover's deep brown eyes. She can see the love reflected in them. “How did I get so lucky?”

Gin gets startled by the question. “What was that Luna love?” Ginny asks with a tilted head.

“I didn’t realize that I said that aloud but what I said was how did I get so lucky. You could have had anyone.” Luna looks away muttering.

Gin stops dancing and gently grabs Luna by the arms to get her attention. She sighs when she notices that Luna isn’t looking at her. Gina speaks with a slight urgency in her voice, “Luna. Please look at me.” She patiently waits for Luna’s beautiful silvery grey eyes to look into hers. “I don’t want anyone else. I was just remembering the days of old and how we grew to love each other. Please remember I love you and no one else. I don’t want anyone else.”

Luna’s eyes grew large at the proclamation of her love. “Really?” Luna shyly asks. Gin nods her head hoping that Luna would see her love for her. Luna gives Gin a megawatt smile. “I love you, too. I am sorry that I doubted you,” Luna softly answers her back as she pulls her in for a soft kiss on the lips. Ginny relaxes at the words and kisses.

“I will keep telling you this to the day that I die if I must, Luna. Let’s get some wine and sit here in front of the fire and reminisce the old days,” says Gin. Luna nods in agreement and softly grabs her hand as they walk out of the room.
