Harmony HC 2

Summary:

Another glimpse of these two

Work Text:

Harry took a deep breath before he opened the gate to the cemetery where his parents are buried. He was finally getting to see his parents’ grave for the first time. He wished that he wasn't Polyjuiced as a stranger, but he understood that he had to be safe from prying eyes. He turned to Hermione, his best friend, and said “Thank You!”

Hermione looked at him startled and asked, “You are welcome although I don’t know why?”

Harry turned to face her fully and said, “Hermione, you are my best friend. You stuck to me when you could have left as Ron did. You are brilliant, courageous, and loyal to your friends. I am so grateful to have you by my side right now, but I don’t think Ron would get the reason for me doing this at this moment in time.”

Hermione started to cry during Harry’s speech. She was so happy to hear the gratitude that Harry had for her. “I agree with you, Harry. I hope that you know that I will NEVER leave your side unless you don’t want me there,” Hermione said softly as she started to look away.

Harry softly grabbed her by the chin so she would look into his green eyes and said, “Then don’t leave me. I don’t think I could take it if you did. I love you, Hermione Jean Granger.” He tipped his head on and kissed her softly on the lips.

Hermione gasped at his words and the soft feeling of his lips on hers. She applied more pressure to the kiss, making Harry moan into her mouth. She pulled back and said, “I love you too, Harry James Potter. I will never desert you unless you tell me otherwise.” Harry had a big grin on his face.

Harry gave her another quick peck and realized they still hadn’t gone into the cemetery. He pulled back and heard her moan. He chuckled as he said, “we forgot what we were doing. Let’s see my parents’ grave, Love.” Harry held out his hand for her to take, which she did readily.

Hermione smiled at him and looked around real quick to check the area. It dawned on her that they were standing at a gate called a kissing gate. She started to chuckle as they were looking for their gravestones. Harry looked at her curiously. Hermione shook her head and said, “We had our first kiss at the Kissing Gate.” Harry gave her a confused look. “I can’t remember right now what the meaning is behind, but you know me I will either remember or look it up when I remember it later.” Harry laughed and nodded in agreement.

They found markers for other prominent families in the Wizarding World like Dumbledore and Abbott. They finally found his parents’ grave. Hermione magicked a wreath for Harry to lie in front of it. “Thanks, Hermione,” said Harry. “Hey Mom and Dad, it’s me, Harry. I have my girlfriend with me, and her name is Hermione.” He stopped when he heard her gasp at his words. He looked at her and arched his eyebrow. She just smiled and shook her head saying go on. “I think I shocked her. I know that you would love her. She is a brilliant witch and so kindhearted. She defends the weak and knows how to ignore bullies like Malfoy.”

They stood there for a few minutes and Harry looked at her and said, “Do you want to say anything, Hermione?”

Hermione nodded and softly said, “I love your son, Harry. I will follow him to the end of the world if I must. I believe that you would be proud of your son and how he is today. I hope we meet but not too soon.” Hermione and Harry chuckled. “We need to go, Harry. We still need to find Miss Bagshot while still undercover.”

Harry nodded in understanding and said, “I will see you soon when all of this is over. Say Hi to Sirius for me. Tell him that I loved him.” Hermione hugged Harry when she noticed that he was crying with those last few words.

“Well said, Harry,” said Hermione. “I will join you when you do come back.” Harry smiled as he slipped his hand into hers. As they walked out of the cemetery, he kissed her one more time by the gate.
